Well deserved recognition for a fine CC with a proper bunch of Gents as members. Onwards and  Upwards BGCC,

What a pleasant surprise this was this morning.

When I first joined WGT back in 2010, I mainly just played CTTH as I was getting ready for work. Eventually I began to venture out to the courses (mainly St. Andrews, the others were too hard LOL ) for Stroke Play rounds. Now mind you, I was using all Starter Gear at that point in time.

I slowly moved up the ranks gaining valuable XP's. When I made it to the Master Level, I found myself at a peak of sorts. I simply could not improve my game any more for whatever reason. So I came to the Main Forums looking for answers. And one of the first things someone recommended to me was to join a Country Club. So I went to the Country Club and sent out a bunch of invites.

Bridgestone Golf, and owner at the time WilliamRicker, was the only club that responded and invited me to join. What a game changer that was. Everyone was so willing to help me improve my game. Sharing their knowledge with me. I found myself slowly improving my game with the tips they gave me. I firmly believe that I never would have made Tour Legend without the help of my fellow Bridgestonians and for that I am truly thankful.

There is always a wide variety of tournaments at Bridgestone Golf. We have our own BGCC PGA Tour composed of weekly tournaments accumulating points towards the season finale and the BGCC Fed Ex Cup. There is the club favorite Survivor Series based upon the popular TV show. With the recent Country Club updates we have been able to have all kinds of CTTH and Bracket tournaments. As well as have some fun from the short tees. LOL. We are currently experimenting with a Handicapped Uneven Lie tournament.

All in all, Bridgestone Golf is a fine establishment. Current owner, Moosetaya is doing a fine job taking over for WilliamRicker. Helping Bridgestone Golf move forward. The future looks bright for Bridgestone Golf thanks to the dedication of its members.

    Happy Holidays to all

    WGTdbloshoe:
we couldn't be happier to feature Bridgestone Golf Club!

Got that warm fuzzy feeling seeing this - many thanks.

I joined Bridgestone Golf CC in June 2011 (6 months after starting to play WGT) and I have to say "there is never a dull moment"!

Gr8 members that are always willing to give out valuable hints/advise on how to improve one's game. Our 'Bridgestone Help/Tips in our club forum was started in April 2011 and has grown to 51 pages - that's a lot of tips.

An amazing variety cc tournaments always keeps us busy and often have tournaments restricted to the 'lower' tiers so they can grow in confidence.  With 19 TL's and 51 Legends, this is a very competitive club. We also have lots of fun.

    Thanks WGT.

Wow, Christmas arrived a week early for all of us Bridgestonians.

Steve hinted at something that would be a gift for all of us, I was hoping for a few hundred bottles of Canadian Club (sorry Scotland) but this will do nicely.

As has already been mentioned, Bridgestone is a brilliant club if you're a low tier player looking for help, advice, a friendly round of golf and, very often, a new set of clubs.

I hope our sadly inactive founder will somehow get to hear about this, he'd be very proud of the club and how well Moose and the officers are looking after it in his absence.

As a WGT member since 2009, it is an honor to be a member of such a great CC. Many thanks to Moose, Steve  and to all the other members for allowing me to participate in this club.

    Well Done!

    Jim
