    DAZZA501:

If wgt can put a message to all club members at the top of the screen when a clash starts then surely they can give us the option to do the same. I even got 1 the other night to inform me WalkofLife was starting his VT twitch round.

I like that idea ... but as you can see, there isn't anyone from WGT reading this ... so more than likely this great idea will die off like so many others.

It would be great if an owner could type in a message that pops up like the CC Clash ... one a player has to close to make it go away.  At least you know everyone has been informed.

    Hiya Kat :-)

You know how we do it over here. Club emails, forum posts and there is always a notice on the *club message* like this...

Hopefully this grabs their attention. For the few we know that usually play *signup* events, that havent signed up, we send them PMs.

    Hi Mika ...

We are doing the club messages.  I'm taking the time to wall post each member when a new tourney begins.  I also include the links to the forum post and the tourney games to make it easy for them to sign up.  We are averaging a bit over 45% in member participation on every event, with a few more hopping on the weekly tourneys each week.

Maybe it's just my impatience.  lol.

I always wish the best of you and the other members of NHCC.

    Happy Holidays!

    Kat ♥

Some people just log on to the game client and never open any other page. Those people are near on impossible to communicate with.

It's surprising they even know what a CC is, if they only use the game client ... but I guess it's possible.  Can one join a CC from the game client?

On a personal note ... Courteney, you simply amaze me ... one of the top CC's on WGT and you still have time to visit the forum and help others!  Kudos to you!

I hope you the very best this Christmas!  Thanks for all you do for your CC as well as the others here in WGT land!

    Kat ♥

Ultimately, it's the member's responsibility to be proactive and to search out the club updates and goings on.

There's a CC forum for that.  I know, I know, they won't do it.. But that should tell you right there that no matter what lengths you go to, to keep them informed, they don't really care.

The members who are active in club tournaments as well as the forums are your only truely dedicated people. Think about it, how long does it take to merely stick your head in the forum and see if there's anything new going on?

I need to stop before I go off on a rant again..  : )

Good luck with it, Kat.. I've noticed how much you go out and post on your member's walls so I know you're doing an xlnt job for your club.

    Merry Christmas!

I kind of feel like it's a mutual responsibility ... the owner and directors need to make it fun and use the forums to communicate with the members.  If weeks go by and nothing gets posted regarding tourneys and the like, after a while the member simply won't bother.  Then getting them to return to the forum becomes a difficult task

It appears the wall post is the best method ... you don't have to be friends to wall post, and a copy and paste of the same message doesn't take as long as sending a PM.

I just wish WGT had other communication options available to the owners besides a "one at a time" method and the "spam e-mails".

one thing we do every so often in the Bridgestone Forums is post a "Roll Call." What this enables us to do is determine which members are reading the Forums. From that point, we can address those that are not individually and encourage them to do so. .........

We have also implemented a "New Members Please Read" message which outlines the importance of reading the Forums.

    +1 ... I love these ideas!

Hopefully 2015 will bring some changes to the CC Communication System.

This is WGT TopShelf ... and as much as I hope, there isn't any "tangible" reason for them to do so ... tons of intangibles ... but I seriously doubt the powers behind WGT get much further past the "$" on the ASCII character set.

shame that men are being treated this way !

If only females here would get the same treatment.

Now that would be equality !
