  Not quite... but it's a great run!

  Division 1 Relegation situation...

  • OLC "A" and RnRR "A" are both already down, as they finished in 7th and 8th and both made the relegation final (cancelled, redundant). Therefore they take the relegation slots of the loser of the relegation final and the remaining worst league record.
  • The D1 tournament winners are excempt from relegation. Therefore, O Canada "A", who are currently in the last relegation spot based on league record, can pass that relegation spot up to NWC "A" if they win the tournament.
  • The committee has some latitude to invite teams, either to replace teams that don't re-up for next season and/or expand divisions by a team or two based on applications from new and existing teams - I'm sure that these performances are being taken into account. A post with details will come with the rules and format for next season later this week.

  Division 2 Promotion / Relegation situation...

  • The top seed in each group has made the division final. The winner of the final will bring the 2nd placed team in their group (O Canada "B" in Group A, Gran "A" in Group B) up with them.
  • As the bottom three teams in each group have lost any chance of a miracle run to promotion and there are five relegation spots to be filled, I have invited the two fourth-paced teams in each group (RnRR "B" in Group A and NWC "B" in Group B) to playoff to stay in Division 2

  Lineups due...

  Just a reminder for you to hand in lineups by the end of the day for:

  • Division 1 Final
  • Division 2 Final
  • Division 2 Relegation Playoff

  Last three matches of the season, and what a season it has been!

  Just to report Slor that YBRCC A just managed to overcome NWC A in our final rubber for a 3.5 - 1.5 overall victory in the 2nd Div 1 SF. Congrats to both teams for what I'm told was a very hard fought 5 games which simply came down to one or two hot putters on the day.

  I'll post our team for the final later tonight, I just want to say good luck to everyone who is playing this week for either a trophy or safety.

  Well Tom after our dust-up in the Division 2 match, O Canada is honoured to match up against your Emerald City crew for the championship...and it seems somewhat appropriate for us to have to beat the three seed, then the two seed, and now finally the number one seed if our team is to stay up in the Premier League.

  We'd also like to provide advance apologies to the kind gents over at the Normans Webb Collective, of course! ;)

  Slor; Tom may not be able to respond until this evening so I'll post this on his behalf. Our lineup for the CC final is as follows:

  3. Rowlets

  4. Penners

  5. Ryan4spurs

  Tom posted the lineup in our CC forum last night so the order has not been amended in any way. If this is okay, can you confirm so that both teams can look to arrange their matches?

  I see that the spreadsheet used the submission from last week, but considering the above post, that would make the matchups as follows:

  4. Penners v. Mario69
  5. Ryan4spurs v. panzer32

  These are the matchups that I am sending out to my team this morning. Let me know ASAP if this is incorrect, but I think that this is how the lineup would have looked if Tom had got to input the data on the form.

  Thanks J2; these are the same fixtures I've just posted in our CC forum. I've said to the rest of the team just to hold-fire on contacting their opponent until Slor gives the green light to go-ahead. Sure it'll be fine but best off waiting until it's 100% confirmed.
