If they don't have a good and informative website you can usually assume they are just another badly organized, mickey-mouse CC (like so many on WGT).

Absolute rubbish - the thing that makes a good CC is the people in it - a fancy website proves nothing.

As for the OP - why doesn't he set is own up?

+1 Sara -Well said it is the relationships and friendships built that are most important and make people want to stay in the club!

I'm going to presume that "mod" means a WGT "moderator" or some such. If that's so, who are the WGT mods?

    WGTIcon and WGTDblShoe

    THANKS, DaddysKat. Much appreciated.

A genuinely helpful, on-topic and friendly reply vs the ad hominem sniping and ascribing of motives not my own regarding WHY I'd like to see more info on a CC before joining, as opposed to having to join it first to gain those insights.

A -- Do you seriously believe that reply is a sincere response to my original topic proposal that WGT make more information about CCs available to prospective members vs having to join a given CC in order to gain access to that insider info?

B -- Do you propose to know my available time to commit to WGT and my overall level of satisfaction/dissatisfaction with what clubs are already in existence at WGT?

Somewere, in WGT land, there is a CC (probably several) that will feel like a good fit for me. You know, the 'different strokes for different folks' bit -- and my strokes are no more or less valid than any of the trolls on this thread who must take some sick pleasure in ascribing motives that are false and quite telling of their own character.

I just hope I don't have to join/un-join too many CCs before discovering the right one for me. Again, WGT could accommodate that search by making more info on clubs available to prospective members. Better for all, Clubs and prospective members.

Why don't you just ask the owner what they have going on in the club? I'm sure they could tell you enough of what you want to know before deciding if you want to join.

To be honest i wouldn't want certain information accessible for everyone to see.

YankeeAirPirate (As a level 95 Legend who has been here nearly 5 years)  I wish you well in your quest - I was merely pointing out an option that was available to you.

Another option would be for you to state your requirements in this forum and ask if any CC's could accommodate them - this has been done many times before.

    Best wishes Sara

I agree with D, i put enough info in all my various adverts on here but always ask for folk to contact for further discussion if need. Inactivity is rife throughout clubs. I would rather have 30 members out of 30 playing than 30 out of over 100. We are small and will be smaller if a few others in our club dont join in our hard work, But each to their own, free world (sort of).

To be honest inactivity is rife throughout WGT, put part of your name in search and see all the non playing hacks, i did and even first page is ridiculous.

the simple thing to do is friend the owner and ask. I always send prospective new members a list of rules and answer any questions they have before I let them join as this works both ways saving you hassle and then leaving the club and save me time when as a busy owner of a very active cc adding you to all the lists comps etc that we do and then having to remove you after you leave. Its a 2 way street here but I do have to admit there must be a better way for wgt to display club info rather than that stupid blue circle which 99% of people miss
