Has any thought ever been given to creating a pre-playing driving range and practice putting and chipping green so players can "warm up" before playing in a game.

Yeah but that's not practicing.  If you are considering buying a club, you might just want to hit that club to see if is as advertised.  This is not the same as a driving range where you can just hit one or two clubs to warm up.. Appreciate the response though.  Thanks

Steve, the best way to trial out a club is on the course, under real conditions, Yes a driving range will give a better indication of how far the ball flies, but that is about it. You can do that on all the courses using mulligans and accurately measure this as well, with the advantage of learning best landing spots to maximise/minimise roll.

A driving range in real life is ideal to tinker with the stance, grip and swing - here that is all automated.

If you want to warm up your clicking finger, any hole in practice mode will do.

Some propose BPB Back 9 in practice mode, flat fairways and greens with famous #15 as a fun intermezzo.

    Use Mulligans.

You can practice on any course, Shreveporter. Any tee, any wind condition, any green speed...hitting over and over again . Even get XP's for it and it doesn't affect your average..

    just sayin...
