    Well done, crew...another successful derailment!

                                   Hmmm, obviously used the wrong driver.

    This thread is obviously in SP's wheelhouse, she's on a roll.

    Paul's right, notice how the cars are wedged.

    The part that sucks is, after renting the R1 for a week and the fact that I'm jonesin' for something new to buy, I may just get it, you know one day Prime NY steak, the next day, Prime Rib Eye  '-}

    SP, you've gotten right to the meat of the matter...they both sizzle.

    I'm jonesin' for something new to buy,

    I hear ya,  but I have the L93 R1 and bought the Bertha.  Mainly since I'm a Callaway club fan IRL, so for me it makes it fun to play a Callaway driver since I do in real life.  Well, usually do, playing a Titleist  for a while too now, but my go to driver is a Callaway when the Titey is given me fits, cuz it's always the driver and not me.  ;-)

    If it wasn't for the L93 R1 being a "collectors item" here, I'd have sold it back long ago.  Head winds, links courses, you name it and I don't see one disadvantage not using the R1 at all.

    But I say don't buy yet,  remember there are some new clubs set to come out soon.  I'd just wait until we see what they give us next.  ;-)

    Well Balmerino, very valid fact....all are awesome, can't lose, Drivers, and yet in this thread a couple of posts back, by Yankee Jim, indicates that the L-100 Covert used in concert with the Nike Black 5.5 distance ball is Top Banana by at least 1 club...he would know and he wouldn't exaggerate ;-}

    I have both, I find they both have their merit and the difference is really never much either way.  I have tested on different courses and I think the R1 has a slight edge in distance but on courses where carry and placement are high I find the Bertha flies long and lands soft.

    Either one is a winner in my opinion.

    I should qualify this-I use a 33 Callaway so better ball users might not see quite the difference I do. I do take much solace from knowing I get 3 Callaway balls for the price of a single Nike Black, though.  ;-)

    Cally 33 is a premier ball in price & performance, but the 2.5 speed is just not for me. I like 4.0, it's a comfortable fit. But the Cally 33 is sneaky long and can roll past a Nike Black on frequent situations. If it were offered with 4.0 speed I would gladly use it and save a ton.
