I agree ,hitting a 3 or 4 iron or even a hybrid into a tourney green is very different to VF greens especialy wind behind, and the creepy 7 foot downhill putts are much harder too,:),When i first tried the legend tees i said then the difficulty wasnt the extended tees but the long approaches on ice greens,Im a rapture player and it took me a long time to ajust,

There is tournament and championship with latter being even harder.  Legends tees aren't too bad, just need some practice and take the time to learn it.

Yankeejim saw me post 30 on front 9 STA and without few knucklehead decisions, could have been 62-60 on 18.

I am now starting my last days on TM Tier, think  at score 61 it will be done.

I remember that i startet a thread couple of weeks before, and was angry that i wasnt competitive to lower tiers with better equipment.(had the raptures in my bag).

But i learned:  Its quite better to reach the highest challenge to love the game and the own ability to play this game well. It will be hard to play suddenly higher scores, but its a wonderful challenge and the list of earnings leaders shows all participants that it is possible to be the best also on legend tier.

I am sure i can stay in the front field and maybe more. :)

Greetings from an old Links Ls Veteran who has now licked the blood of Honor in Online-Golf again, like in the early successful Links-Days. ;)

Not to mention a fussy meter. This is the single biggest reason to watch the Ryder matches. You get a fabulous look at what it takes to compete at the highest level. The lessons from watching are invaluable and I have learned some serious stuff watching.

I mean, how many would like to watch over a Legend's shoulder just for a game? See the club selection, the shot setup and the course management. LOL-it was hard to not reach for the mouse and it was tremendously rewarding. I can't say enough about the experience.

HA! Check this out. I asked for a hat as a souvenier after watching Priestess and ClaremoreBlue. This is what I got...........   :-)

Hi Priestess, I was just wondering if you or the other Legend players were aware that Tour Masters play with "tournament greens"? The "championship greens" are the ice greens I thought you were referring too, and indeed they are. Also, there are a few long iron shots from the blue tees, on several courses, that are near impossible to stop the ball on for a Tour Master as well. I just wanted to clear-up any misunderstandings I or anyone else may have.

WGT has "championship greens" reserved for USGA, or LPGA tournaments only, right?

And Kiawah Front Nine Ready Go, it is like putting on ice.....

Here's me putting from behind the hole on #2.   Watch out its a slippery slope.

    Cheers,

Greens are stimpmetered based upon tier.  Legend tournament greens are faster than TM tournament greens.  It's not so bad really, but it probably adds .5 strokes to every 9 holes, I would think.

Thank you PGA for a VERY positive response to "The Legend Tier". I will one day shift back into high gear and break through to Legend. That is the GREAT thing about this game, it will challenge you. It's our friends in the community that really dont want to be challenged that complain about 'The Legend Tier". Oh wait - let me say this so I dont hear it from one of our community complainers - I'm ONLY a TM, I know....With that being said, I have played against many of the Great Legends and they still Kick my A**. CASE IN POINT: Either you got it or, you DON’T, skill that is. I have played many, many, maany games and it’s hard to argue the point that "skill" is the key factor of being one of the Greats. TY again my friend PGA, Jeff

PS: That is a Great pic b'buster. Also - YJim, hold on to that hat, it will be worth something one day. As a matter of fact -  I will start the bidding at 500crs....lol
