  Curious if the lengthy downtime updates last night included any of the following from excerpts I've read recently:

  • "We realize there have been some growing pains with the Events but believe we are moving in the right direction due to all the players' feedback. There are more changes coming in our January release so that we can provide a competition that all players will enjoy."

  
  "Many changes to Country Club Events including new scoring, participation bonuses, and additional SuperPasses per clash

   

  • New virtual goods from Nike, Adams, TaylorMade, Callaway and Cleveland
  • Improvements to surface interactions especially from the rough, fescue and brush
  • Random hole locations for Country Club tournaments
  • Additional (extreme) green speed options for Country Club tournaments
  • Option to add to the purse for Country Club tournaments
  • Ability to set wind for ranked match play, skins, and alt shot games
  • Option to disable the swing caddy so you can pick your own club and shot type
  • Investigating ways to reduce memory to improve performance"

  Or mainly just new revenue additions for now?

  Right on mkg335,just played a round on Con.,,,,,so far very pleased with the meter speed,very helpful my misses were as good as my dings before LOL,think these are the cats meow for us older farts with slower refexes.................

  I'm finding the new meter speed hard to get used to.

  That was the first bummer for me, seeing the slower meter. However, the speeds are all the same now from the driver to the PW and that is a plus. Using the faster 33 Callaway ball I didn't see as much of an issue as I had anticipated and it seems the forgiveness helps with those near misses on the ding.

  On a side note, I cleared my cache after equipping the irons but none of the game settings changed. Is this new?

  It may just be me but I find that the PW is closer to the rated distance than the PW in the level 97 iron set. 

  I also cleared my cache after equipping the irons and all my settings reverted to the default settings. I'm not sure why mine did and Jim's didn't.

  Not surprising that Nike had to be released first to suck in a bunch of buyers.  My luck is I'll jump on the new Irons and then Callaway irons will come out lol.

  I think we are in the same boat at the moment. I also find the new meter speed hard to get used to. Just finish Cabo front 9 and I hit early on 7 shots to green with the new Irons.

  Otherwise they seem allright. so hopefully I can get use to the meter speed :)

  As much as I would like to jump right in, simply for that slower meter, I am going to wait and see what happens with regards to 'addiitional equipment' being released. It has happened too many times in the past. LOL

   

  LOL yep,  and looks like Callaway already has new irons along with the new Big Bertha irons.  Maybe, just maybe?  ;-)

   

  Callaway must be trying to compete with Taylormades way of new product after new product after new product, before anyone really has a chance to play the previous one lol.

  Looking forward to 2016 or early 2017 ;-)  they look sweet! , just seen FMAGNETS 1st go with em, wow what a great putter!
