These irons I have not entered a RG as it would be futile.

RGs are a tough place to believe anything with the forces at work there. In fact, most of my observations have come from AS play and I'm not totally sure VEM is fully in play there. So far in the few ranked rounds I've played they seem to be nothing unusual. Those RGs though, IDK.

I could not agree more.  You certainly need to know what everything usually does and trust it all before going in to that mind warp world:)........Not that IMO it is quite as mind warping as some thought........

My first round with them was a 71 at oak in low winds.  Smashed my personal worst ever score there, well post hack legend days anyway.

Played one yesterday just for laughs with a few friends.  Total embarrassment every iron shot, and so not VEM at all IMO.  I think VEM gets overrated as a cause of most wo anyway, and what I got was way beyond any circle of deviation for clubs with that rating for sure.

I have an 8 iron FBS neutral wind reading from Kiawah #1 sitting me beside saying 150 yards.  Well I never believed that reading (even though from a few shots as always).  Yesterday with only a slight HW (think may still be on my twitch) think it was rolling to 143 at most with neutral spin, and I don't pay for a L90 ball to put up with that roll for that shot their anyway.....

Only did a few whacks yesterday though as had the chits with it:)...................Too early to draw any conclusions, apart from to say far from seamless using the L90 ball for me.  All I need is consistency really though, and very maybe it is still there to be had, but my L97 carefully mapped chart ain't much chop for them that's clear.

I have a few L33 Callys and maybe I will retire from RG play for a while longer, and use those for CC stuff.  Many shoot fine with them but not being funny you don't see them in RGs, well not in any place you want to be.  Very solid ball, just can't do often enough what  higher level balls can score wise for RG play IMO - well also in the opinion of most looking at any RG board.

Well it's been a while since I had a moan on here so forgive me while I do just that....

Really WGT?!?!?!?! Another set of irons incrementally better than the previous best. Just when are you going to stop dumbing down this game further? It's virtually impossible to miss a fairway these days, is this your attempt to see the missed green a thing of the past too?

There are umpteen players out there scoring 53s, 54s in their sleep, you should be doing something to challenge them, not make it even easier. Still you have been on this path for some years now, so really I shouldn't be surprised.

What I do know though is that this game was better, fairer & more challenging a few years back than it is today. Perhaps that is why I've only gone up 2 levels in over 2 years when previously I hit level 100 before you even had considered any player would get to level 100 lol....

I think they've gone to crap. They were great the 1st day and I even said so in this thread. Since then the forgiveness is non-existent. In-fact they are actually worse now than the lvl 97s. If anything, it is actually more difficult to ding with the slower meter, as strange as that sounds.

Anyway, gone back to the old irons, at least I sort of knew what I was getting with them.

Yesterday was the first time I had a few good games with em.  I started to Ding and the Irons were quite scary..In a good way.

I haven't noticed any forgiveness with them when I was missing ding (is there forgiveness), as PB said it might be worse...lol

For me meter is nice and slow, but it is hard to hit the ding.  Not complaining though.

    Today is another day...lol

Well fwiw I could not make head nor tail of those clubs with the L90 ball in the end I decided.

May well try again in due course but the boredom threshold is low, and had the chits as enjoyed that ball loads with the L97s.

+ side is the L61 ball seems to easily allow common sense logic, and it's doing roughly what I expect each time.  OK some v fine tuning which takes time, but that's kind of the easy part....The higher trajectory of those new clubs (way I see em) seems to give me better performance (in my game) way I like to play (this is fun mainly) than I got with that L61 and even the L97s.

200 credits a pop cheaper ball costs if the scores stay the same I am fine with that too:)

Something changed with the vapors after the first day,  the forgiveness on crosswinds and missed dings seems to have faded.  They are still very good clubs but say what you will WGT did something with the forgiveness.  Why ?  Is the question, for the price they should hit themselves.

Nothing changed with the Vapors...if you ding the shot they are incredibly accurate, still very accurate if your very close to it...if you miss late with the wind they are horribly off target, worse than lvl 97's IMO...

I went back to the 97's because I had trouble waiting on the meter w/ lvl 61 nike ball, but mainly because the 100's were screwing with my timing on the wedges....

I'm going to look into wedges with slower meters so all clubs have the same meter and try a cheaper ball with a faster meter before I completely give up on them...if every club has the same meter it makes it much easier to play...

Hehehe, i wrote this comment the first day the New irons came out. I bought them without first renting and trying them, however it was a guessing game where the ball would end up (even if you set it up correctly and hit the dinger). Personally i found VEM to be much more pronounced with this set of irons than the Nike V-Forged level 97. Suffice to say i reverted back to my old reliable V-Forged set. Perhaps WGT was looking for another money making oppourtunity, however i was highly highly disappointed with their performance.

Any chance WGT unlocks these clubs earlier to lower level like they did with the R1 black? I'll be at level 99 in 2 days, but 100 will seem like a lifetime.
