    Jimbog1964:

Leaving the hormone mix difficulties from whomever it was above alone , put it down to that feeling kind, a helpful other person did advise me to swap my clubs out, play a hole and clear cache again.  This seems to have done the trick, and that something extra that had slipped my mind that seems to have done something - issue was only the longer irons.

Arguably the new irons are not showing the same spin ferocity in toi a wind, but a few more holes should soon sort those thought's out as all seems consistent, and close to the L97s.

All dandy and changed thread title to show such- cheers

Thanks for posting the Vid J.    Pictures are worth 1000 words, Vids are worth 1000 more.

WTF  3000 plus posts   Your test is try these news irons out on 1 hole   Wow Nike Ping Callaway etc etc must be be gutted they let your method of testing slip through their fingers   LMFAO

3000 plus posts is nothing compared to quite a few others on here.

He knows off 1 hole    Yet the #1 player on here didnt

One of them owns the clubs. The other is just renting. Who has more time to share opinions with us?

LOL. Nothing like a level 91 hack Legend trying to ding Jimbog. She can't even sniff the clubs, let alone pass judgement on anyone mapping them.

@Jimbog-I used Kia #1 to verify the carry numbers compared to the 97s but did it a little different. I played from the fairway edge closest to the tee so the shots would land on fairway. I was just looking for the carry numbers and with the 33 Callaway they appear to be identical.  :-)

    Cheers guys,

Yes some 17' hack expert showing their prowess on mapping was astonishingly enlightening, lol. Done OK in a Rg or 3 there so think I have a rough idea what I usually expect to see (max standard deviation in mind).

FWIW any one that knows me v well know use Beth #10 for long irons tee and fway; Beth #11 roughly check long irons again off tee, and map mid / short iron approaches; Beth #12 especially map mid irons and double check short irons.  After all that I map the lot at Kiawah 1 (agree a v useful hole to do it).  I am anally retentive + over it, LOL.

As Hpurey said same stated spin / distance none of us were expecting much of a mapping exercise.  Anyway as stated above, WB above kindly said go do what I did as I admit I forgot in the first day first excitement, lol,  and all settled down now.

Arguably (tad more testing needed) I am not seeing as much carry loss with BS as I was with the L97s, but all fine lines  and all appears v consistent - great stuff.  I never wanted to waste a lot of time if others were seeing same already, and they were not and that's what the forums are for I think.  Thanks to all bar, well - hopefully he / she has learned his/her prowess may not be quite as massive as 17' ADP suggests...

i just wasted 4495 credits buying these new irons ( i had the Nike forged set before), really regretting it now as the VEM is out of control with these, each shot drifts either left or right 3 yds no matter how perfectly you set the shot up. Sure the meter is slower, but wgt is clearly compensating by now having the ball go precisely where it should. As of now, im returning these back (getting only 1000 credits in return), and repurchasing the Nike Forged set. Why waste time having to guess which way VEM will cause the ball to drift. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!

If I get them I would use them for over 5 weeks for what I believe Icon was calling an 'adjustment period', as all my new stuff always takes a while to mellow out, like a fine wine. The only exception was when I went for lower level G25 L59 irons which performed really well right out of the gate.
