My first thought was that this was a money grab, letting clubs sponsor the weekly tournaments seemed like a way for WGT to save credits.

However, I assume there can be lots of these running and the payout will be supplemented by WGT?  If there is a 7k payout for each one and the club sponsoring only needs to put in 3k then that's not a bad deal.

We do kinda need the bank sorted out for it to work though.

To start we will only be running 3 a week and 5 monthly.  If the demand is high enough and then we will of course increase it.  I agree the bank should go hand in hand with this, but alas I don't have a answer as to when it will be released.  Right now Icon and myself are pushing for the Officers to get some abilities.

I may be reading this thread wrong but is WGT asking the CC's to pay for the weekly tourneys?

That was my first thought Lonnie and I think others thought this too.  However, it appears this is not the case.  There will be a few of these running alongside the existing weekly and monthly tournaments and only part of the payout (at least I think so anyway) is put up by the country club, WGT supplies the rest.

As far as I understand it the club doing the sponsoring gets to dictate the conditions and, again, I think, who can play.  I can't see many clubs being willing to throw credits at a tournament knowing the same old winners are going to take the credits.  If you can set it up so that only members of certain country clubs can enter then you sort of have a CC v CC tournament.

My first thoughts were negative but having seen more input from Shoe it starts to look like a good idea.

On the basis that I don't see this as something that could have taken up much time I can't blame WGT for exploring it, and I have seen some good ideas in this thread.  In the end cost v likely outcome will be something for individual CCs to decide if it suits or not.  It's not deleting anything (I hope), just adding to choice as I see it.

I did see (unless imaging it again in a grey hair moment) mods say they are speaking to the powers to ramp up officer tools.  This thread and that remark at least makes me think that finally a basic like CC upgrades is being looked at properly.

I still think inter CC brackets are a major component missing.  I think ball costs should be enough for that unless CCs wish to wager, and then a standard rake is as far as sensible trading would allow IMO.

As part of this really I am at a loss why WGT add to CC issues with L100 irons (and etc soon ???).  The CC I am in and the game appears to have lost at least one talented lower 90s level TL.  We have a ridiculous situation where a CC gets to develop a player, and help get them to TL only for WGT to swing a cricket bat in their face with an 18 month+ wait for the privilege  of spending vast sums in the WGT pro shop.  Shame of it is good scoring is not really just the result of these great new clubs, BUT the CC and game has long since lost the player anyway.................I don't think you could write it it's such a joke (bad one).  And that's all just the direct hit - BASICS PLEASE WGT!

Since when did WGT pay attention to demands? You're hawking this latest and greatest idea while the AS abomination crumbles. How about addressing THAT demand?

I would have put this in another more appropriate thread but not only are there too many of them, there isn't a WGT face in any of them responding to the "demands."

Our QA team has been testing and trying to put in fixes since it has cropped up.  Right before the holiday they thought they had a fix, and it didn't work for whatever reason.  So at no point is anyone just dismissing that concern.

TYVM for the response, it's more than anyone has offered since the troubles began. Although I must say, with how obvious the problem is, the QA team is really showing up as quite inept. That is most distressing.

FWIW, whatever they thought they fixed sounds like what is actually causing the problem because it was fine before December.

Enlighten me please, what is the problem with AS ?

I don't play as much AS as I used to but I've had a couple of games recently with no problem, and using Skype.
