  mnshiner - Think you're completely missing the point here - Before this if I wanted to sponsor a CC comp - I would have to gift the winners something from the pro shop.

  Now anyone in the CC can set up a comp - select the levels eligible to play and what the winners will get.  Seems a great enhancement to CCs and something that has been asked for for ages.

  You can still set up a free comp as before.

  Not too crazy about the new green speeds since I have enough trouble with the ones we already have.  LOL!

  Hi guys

  here are the release notes for this product update. I also want to state that it's not all of it as some features will be seen in a little while when we have a chance to go deeper.

  We’ve made some improvements to Country Club tournaments, including the following…

   

  NEW GREEN SPEEDS – When your club reaches Club Level 7, you’ll unlock new green speeds to choose from for country club tournaments: Extremely Slow, Very Slow, Super Fast and Extremely Fast

   

  ADD TO PURSE – Now, if you create a country club tournament you’ll have the ability to “sweeten the pot” by adding your own Credits to the total purse for your club members to win

   

  Bug fixes.

  Also, when the downswing starts, the shot type and club selected now grey out. Seems to serve no purpose other than making the meter a bit jumpier on the downswing though???

  Have done a test, and this new grey out is not visible to your opponents. Now if this were to be made visible, what a great weapon against cheats it could be. No more slow meter crawls on the downswing with the accompanying claims that it was a long hold on the backswing. The downswing would be timed independently of the backswing so games with opponents involved would be more honest.

  Lets say you put up 500 credits in a Free Unlimited for 7 days. You win and lose nothing but what about the other players who played and may have to have bought another sleeve of balls just to try and get that 500 credits.

  The only winner here is WGT trying to increase ball sales.

  So WGT my ? to you is, is the Tournament creator allowed to play in his/her tournament? And if they are this new premiss doesn't fly.

  Well if you felt that strongly about people buying extra balls for a 500cr prize I would have thought that it would be prudent to set the competition  as single play.

  Also no reason why you can't enter any competition on this site with the free ball.
