Well.....I was curious about the new green speeds so I set up a CC tourney just for fun and to see what they were all about. If WGT thinks this is in tune with their claim to fame as the most realistic golf game, someone in Cali is smoking too much weed !

There is not a golf course on the planet that plays that way, so what is realistic about it? The thought that time and effort was actually spent on this with the many other bugs going on and remaining unanswered is really quite bewildering.

I suppose I could learn the new speeds, but why on earth would I want to? That play resembles golf about as much as lawn bowling or ice fishing does.! Get off the weed WGT and address the concerns of many here and skip the addition  of ridiculous stuff like this.

couldn't agree more Romax played one hole in my country club comp then I  quit .

    What a crock.

It is a game we're all playing,or have wgt changed the criteria now  it looks like an initiation

test to see if you qualify to join the special forces.

Totally agree Romax - and have said so in another thread.

Over the last 6 months WGT have introduced gimmicks, poorly thought out equipment, poorly thought our additions and introduced untold new bugs.

Time to reassess WGT - fix your existing problems before rolling out junk that only a minority of players like.

It is all about the bottom line and seeing a return on your investment (which is fine) but surely someone within the company must see that the instability of the game, the frustrating bugs that curse us all, is driving players away or play less. The latest stats on visitors that Andyson published is evidence of this. Wake up!

what's ironic here is that wgt is truly in it's marketing infancy yet is poised to find it's prime.  There is some serious outreach and buy-in by my eye that' has all involved catering to those yet reached.  Makes sense.

though many have been here for years and years - and arguably some of the best there've been here - these changes are not spun out to add to their enjoyment of the game at all- it's new blood that is the aim here I think. Sure, an angle can be found for the spokesmen to spin it as great for all and some long toothed players will say how it's given them a new vigor and enjoyment level  but hey.... For every one long timer or even less long-in-the-tooth players that leave for whatever reason surely 5 will replace them.

i dunno - seems like the drum head should need replacing every month by what we read and hear from folks for the most part - but it's the voiceless and yet to arrive that will carry wgt and investors financially - and that's what they care about for the most part.

I dare say the days of new players committing 5/6/7/8+ years, as what we have here now, are over - it just will be more short term reward but quantity should offset for the company

their banking I'm wrong about the exodus and replacement and surely that it still would make financial sense any how.  either way - they're here to stay  by the looks of it - old flaws and new - so best to see what box we fit in and check it - play on

Icon and Shoe hosted "Crazy Tourneys" with these greens speeds for several months. No biggie once you dial in the speeds.

God forbid something new or different is introduced. ;)

I am not objecting change here at all. I would love it if wgt make something new and different. Things like quicker loading. fewer discos, keep players on the ground and not plant them in a tree or a lake. Camera angles that actually show the pin would be swell too. Those new and different changes would be most welcomed.

My point was, there are many other issues in the game that need attention and adding something like this is  just not necessary or realistic. If people want to play around with wacky greens that need a 30ft. hit to go 18ft. downhill so be it, go for it and have fun! It's just no resemblance to real golf, which has always been the WGT motto.

the new speeds are a crock of shite my cc wont be playing them at all after the tourneys we set up end. Never seen any request for that garbage any where in the forums or on any wish list but things like the "COMING SOON" bank the numerous other issues mentioned ad nauseam within these forums need sorting before gimmicky updates stupid tee markers etc. The first rule of business seems to have bypassed all at WGT and that is "" look after the customer and the customer looks after you as loyalty costs so little, a pissed off customer costs so much""

I just checked our CC tourney with "Bozo" greens that I made to see how many played. About 12 have entered and 2 have actually finished. My ears have been burning for 2 days now, so I'll be glad when that ridiculous tourney ends. LOL.

It's just proof that most players don't want this idiotic chit , including me. I will NEVER set up another tourney like that.......  I promise Alliecats !  ;)
