I'm a Tour Master and somewhere along the line I may have missed a step.
How do I get rid of old starter and beginner clubs in my inventory that I no longer need
and won't use?
In general, clubs can be sold. In your profile, click on equipment tab. At the buttom, you'll see sell tab.

No. They just stay there I'm afraid.
I think I miread what you meant. The started and beginner sets cannot be sold. Any other clubs that you buy, can be sold.
