    Lets see if this works.

Things I don't WANT and definitely don't ASK FOR.

Bunkers that play like the REAL game.

Alt shot and Multi player games that don't freeze or drop out, error etc.

    Cheers from Al.

PS Uneven Lies are now so much easier from the rough ( NOT ). Another aspect of the game that after many attempts and failures ( some successes as well ) I now have to reboot. Gee Whizz.

I also don't want Lots of Money, a Night out with a Victorias Secret Model or a Long and Happy Life. Thanks in advance. :)

Uhm ... there's more chance IRL, of the club face closing down due to the hosel being caught by high grass behind the ball. I don't remember if I've ever seen a club face "open up" when hitting out of rough. And then, that's only in higher grass or if you have a clump behind the ball that you have to worry about the club face closing down. Up to about 40 percent buried there should be no opening or closing of the club face IMO.

What rough thickness were you testing ded? Thin rough shouldn't be hard to get at least partial spin on the ball enough to stop it in a reasonable distance. That's when using a wedge or the shortest of short irons of course.  What reduces or eliminates spin, is grass trapped between the clubhead and the back of the ball. Flatter faced clubs tend to trap more grass between the head and ball.

Ya I see where you got that from, didn't really type that right... Meant keeping it from opening up, I find people who don't know how to play from rough tend to try and chop their way out, they'll do all sorts of funky arm and hand sh*t causing the club to open up sometimes.. if they're really good at it, they end up tearing a chunk out of the ball....  More to the point, it seemed to play fine with more realistic results I found.

I was in 30/40 and 40/50 .. n yes I know how and what grass, weeds n such do to shots, the best is picking up a small stone in the mix, those are interesting.

I wish I didn't read this.  Now my shorter shots are coming up short, costing me a few birds....ugh....lol

...but we adapt and improvise and eventually move on like happy little vegemites

    Have Fun

In an effort to continue to make WGT a realistic golf experience, we’ve made some changes to how balls perform when they’re hit from different lies in the rough.

I my experience with WGT, when they say more realistic, they really mean more inconsistent, which means more strokes so the balls sell faster! Tinker with stuff that doesn't need tinkering and forget about the bugs that need to be fixed!

Geez what a meltdown!  Spend $4.00 go to Congo and figure it out people.  Stop acting like 5 year kids.  Apologies to any 5 year olds that play the game.  I'm thru day two of mapping this out (about 3 hrs worth of actual game time) and I've got workable numbers for all wedges using full shot, punch and pitch. Do some work and you'll find that you can actually hole more shots with the changes.  Instead of punch shots bouncing once and stopping, they now roll out which makes holing shots easier.

You mean like a ... punch shot? lol

On that note. Has anyone using the 5.0 Max wedges played out of them yet?

Bunker shots here, with the possible exception of the 15/20 bunkers at BPB, have never been remotely close to realistic.  This is especially true of most of the fairway bunkers on all the courses, where one should be able to play a mid to long iron shot without much trouble (depending on lie and unless it's one of the bottomless pits at St A).

One possible solution, aside from wgt changing programming, might be for them to provide us access to a true sand wedge for the greenside bunkers.

Just use the flop shot from the greenside bunkers. You'll get it close most of the time. Just play a little run.

Remember, these are US Open courses. The sand is not packed like PGA Tour sand. Thus, you're not going to spin the bunker shots. You have to play run out. A flop with a 60 for a greenside bunker shot is very similar to a US Open bunker shot

The Flop shot has gotten me out of more trouble than just a little several times.

Two things you need to remember.

    1) Full back spin, ALWAYS. Even then you will have run out.

    2) For whatever reason the shot will shoot to the right. You need to compensate for that. Why it hasn't been fixed is a mystery to me.
