Equipment availability should be based on tier, not level.

    Dr. Slick:

I agree totally that WGT places profit over performance, which should not be the driving force. And maybe I focused more on the conversation of equality in levels than the money aspect. I am one far from qualified in giving course advice, considering I am still relatively new, but was hoping to give others hope in the madness that is the WGT. :)

But I definitely see what you are saying, and I agree that being able to purchase equipment to bring more of an "even" playing field to the game would help. Thanks for the response!

The only games that are unwinnable are against guys that are as good/better than you, and with better gear.

This is my point. I am playing against players as good or better than I am, who are using better equipment. And by increasing  the level required to upgrade my gear, WGT has added months to the disadvantage.

You must be good enough if you're reaching legend several levels before most.  I don't see the problem.

Don't give up, I've won a couple of challenges against the best using irons 37 levels lower than their's, using a ball @100 creds a sleeve VS their's @500 creds, with a CPU pegging over 90% while streaming. Hang in there and test out what seems to be working.

The time spent learning the Legend tier game will serve you well while you work on the experience points needed to get better clubs. Once you reach the Level needed you'll realize you didn't need the driver anyway. The rest of your game will be that much better.

BTW, WGT didn't raise the Level to get a 287yd driver. They offered the L98 driver for a limited time at  L93. TM offered a Special limited time club in Black and WGT mirrored the offer.

Hey FST -  I looked at your clubs on display, and I believe you could do better right away with a putter change & better wedges  ~ SP ~

With the best will in the world you will not be getting better equipment on offer much (if at all) ever than it is lower than now.  Not perfect for a player, but with what other legends are shooting in their legend tier RGs it shows lower than L91 is LONG since capable of competing v well in that.

Where no solution exists is no mans land once TL.  This is why I bang on about the new tier (among other reasons for decent stats etc).  A new tier gives people some perceivable light at the end of a tunnel.  I would envisage it coming in around L95, and only for TLs (and the OP has way enough equipment for that).

Short of WGT having to do a little work rather some daft CC Event which they can throw up in a minute, and is lo and behold as popular as a blood tick to most and does the game no good, where is the downside?

Players would get the pro shop open early by reaching it, and so those who have that "perceived" need for the equipment get it at say L95 as a TL, and WGT get them chasing it.  The multis who can't cope with TL will have / will continue to restart anyway, and it's good for the game in a very non elitist just reasonable player centric etc etc.............

I think many great players have felt that.  I used to do match back in the day with my good ol' SLDR and balls that were 64 a sleeve - and I could still put up a fight against the really great players.  I was legend a bit early on.  There were times I was using a 6 iron for approaches where my opponents were using wedges.

    I persevered.

Age old argument around here.  WGT makes alot of money because people have to grind out rounds in order to get the best equipment.  I don't see that changing anytime soon.  I would like to see them limit the best clubs to legends and above though.  There's something very shady about a lvl 100 TM having the best driver, imo.

Anyway... I'd be happy to play some rounds with you to see if I can offer any tips.  Friend request sent.

And I'm guessing you're a better player for it because you probably had to learn to hit shots with less than full back spin.
