Add a Hybrid also but keep 3 Wedges

  I wish WGT would let us add a Hybrid club without having to drop one of our 3 Wedges or 3Wood,after all Its just a video game,Its not like they cant bend the rules some on how many clubs people can have in their bag,a Hybrid is an Important club to have on here but not important enough to drop a wedge,you think they would realize by doing this they would make more money from it because people would buy one,but most people dont even bother purchasing one because they arent hardly ever going to use it or equip it in their bag...surprising,a way to make more $money$ but they dont utilize this idea,It just makes common sense to let people play with one,they come in handy out of the rough/rescue shots,just makes the game better

  Come on now! WGT isn't interested in making money, only in improving the game experience, by adding more glitches than they fix when they do an update. I'll probably get banned for this sarcasm, but doing forums today, as the game is pretty much unplayable after the last update!

  By rhe way I would buy one, but like you said, not worth the trade off, losing a wedge, when I have a 225 yrd iron.

  WGT has been Rules of Golf from day 1 and that isn't changing. 14 clubs is all you get.

  haha yeah It was worth a shot to ask,I figured if I mentioned " make more money " that would raise some eyebrows and spark some interest,but I understand 14 is 14

  wouldn't be bending any golf rules to allow a hybrid swap for a 3 iron.  Still 14 clubs.

  since they will never change it,your best option to have a Hybrid in your bag also is to carry only a 60 and 64 wedge and drop the 56 wedge and get used to the 115 yards PW and figure out where the sweet spots are for distances like 80-85,85-90,95-100+,not many but some of your top players buy ~ prefer a 115 yard wedge instead of the 100 yarder,Im thinking of going that route myself (drop my 56) because I want the Hybrid in my bag,It can be a secret weapon out of the thick rough ~ rescue shots that  a 3 Iron just cant deliver on,I played that way before to test it out and dropped my 56 wedge and it really isnt that much of a difference,you may hit a little short,long on a few wedge shots between 80-100 yards but thats going to happen anyways even if you kept the 3 wedge(56,60,64)system,especially in some of these strong winds,It just takes a little practice to figure out the new distances on the 115 PW meter

  If that were true Jim you would be able to play a flop. pitch, chip whatever, WITH full backspin when you are on the green.  It is a perfectly legal shot of golf that WGT removed from our options.  They make the rules up as they go along.  For example, who the hell would take a drop in 40/50 rough when there is perfectly good fairway two yards away.

   

  Rules of golf my a$$......they do what they like sir.

  Do you have any idea what it takes to execute any of those shots with full back spin IRL? You would plow a crater in the green doing it. That's not realistic and isn't don't by the pros, just like it isn't here.

  Since ditching my hybrid, eons ago, I have never missed having it. A good 3 wood can do pretty much anything a hybrid can. If I'm in deep doo doo I punch with my 3 wood.

  YJ, I agree with you on green wedges but if they were all about the rules they would not have WGTIcon citing the One Ball Condition as a reason for not being able to replace balls and clubs in practice or balls only in low level competitions and country club tournaments where WGT should not be the self appointed committee.

  As far as the drop issue, if they had the rules and a better experience for the customer in their interest they could merely create a drop zone every 150 yards on each hole along with one near the green. As a lost ball is replaced a popup could simply give a choice of shot and distance, standard drop (use at your own risk, lol) or use drop zone.

  You and I have both been around the game long enough to know they won't do these things because they don't want to put more choices in the game, they don't want to deal with any more programming that might screw up the game worse than it is now and they want to drive ball sales. Staying true to real life rules might have been a noble goal when the game started but no more.
