    borntobesting:

I see no difference with the dot speed now than before the update. I think the hotfix worked. The problem is actually perception, what we perceive. After the rocket speed dots after the update when they did the hotfix and slowed the dots down to normal speed they seemed to crawl. Much like how the meter seems to crawl after switching from the free ball to a slow meter ball.

This isn't a matter of opinion. It is a fact the dot speeds are far slower, period. You clearly didn't pay attention before so why act like you are now and try to dampen the need for WGT to get off their collective arses and fix it?

Instant eye test.  How fast are the dots moving?  Stare for best answer.

That's everything since their last major update 17 days ago.

Yep that old chestnut called communication.  Hardly in the vocabulary around here.

    bhoese:
Come on, WGT.  You opened up just a little last week, and the world didn't stop spinning.  It was much appreciated.  Please keep it up.  What's going on with the dots?

Went well but then one assumes the quack general spoke, and silence resumed.

Fundamentally a brilliant platform that has weathered much.  The present bunch being allowed to play with the heart of it, putting, and the game still here at all once again shows that.

    Disgrace !

I think they took a three day weekend (or four) ... and the engineers don't work the weekend if they don't have to so ............................................................................................................................

No feedback as nothing to report ................................................................................................

Maybe it is a marketing ploy

We all have to save up and buy the "magic" golden putter

Then the dots will run properly, the invites will work, the meter will be smooth, the sun will shine, there will be a better idea than the CC Clashes, the CC Banks will start, an we will all get a weeks worth of balls free just to say "sorry"

    .........and then I woke up

There are some thing's that are not suppose to change for any reason.

What they need is a fail safe program that will pop up.and say.

Do you really want to make this change ? As it will change the permanent settings.

Or would that hurt some body's ego.

I only see member opinions in this thread.  Where do you see facts?  If your statement is based on your opinion, well, you're not a great putter either.  My putting stats are better than yours, and I don't consider myself even a good putter.  I'm average at best for my level.

The great putters are coping just fine with the new dot speeds. We all need to adapt, not gripe.   I went to the score histories of two top players, FARFOO & FMAGNETS.

I checked their scores on the same course both before the dot speed change and after.  I did not include any scores from 2/25 to 3/1 because of the update(s) and the ding line being offset. (although they didn't score badly with the offset or the very fast dots)

    Here's the results:

Yeah, I know all the arguments

Small samples, they have all the putts memorized and don't need no dots, they're top players they can handle anything thrown at 'em, they had good/bad wind sets......

So I picked 4 RGs and looked at the averages for the whole field, all players who didn't WD.

Not a whole lot of difference seen here either!  About the only thing I notice is there are more WDs after the change.  So people could still be adapting to whatever difference they see.

So what's to change?  I wouldn't mind if WGT left it as is and moves on to fix the invite problem.

    Fire away!
