    Here's how it's done:
    -----
Update 1.2.1.5 Scheduled for Release March 7th

    Community Announcements

This release is a mixture of lots of bug fixes and some new features and plenty of improvements. Our focus has been to improve game play. The biggest change will be to the ball roll physics which we have changed to allow for a much larger variety of shots to be hit. We wanted the low long shot to roll out more and we wanted low hit chip shots to roll out more. Ultimately we want to get to that bounce bounce grab small release chip shot and will continue to fine tune the physics but this major change will effect how far your balls roll out and will especially affect your chipping distances. We have changed the chipping distance below the swing meter to act as a guide. We also wanted to force a full swing to hit a lob shot, a lob chip is not really a real shot so we reduced the amount you can open up the club face of the wedges when chipping

    New Features

    • New course released Florida Glades
    • Addition of the Alternate Shot Mops
    • Added in to Game options Dynamic Cam Option to the Playing Companion Camera so you can now see the ball land when this camera is on
    • Added in to Game Options a slider to set a timeout for auto closure of the Post Shot Screen. You can still keep it as manual or you can have it off or a delay in between.
    • Added an additional audio setting to Audio Options to allow players to set the background course sounds independent of the club and ball impact sounds
    • Added to Game Options a Green Grid Width Slider to allow you to adjust between 1M and 2M in width depending on your system

    Improvements

    • Some performance improvements some of which are dynamic to reduce low FPS on certain parts of the courses with high draw count
    • Changes to the BLI color and width
    • Removed the mouse cursor while the BLI is being moved around to facilitate viewing
    • Improvements to cup physics and reduced the lip out forces a little
    • Major upgrade to ground physics allowing for better roll out of the ball when chipping. You can now effectively play bump and run chip shots. This is a major change and will mean everyone will have to relearn how to chip the ball. However it has enabled a whole new range of shots to be hit. To accommodate the extra roll we reduced the power of the chip swing overall and have replaced all the yardages for chip swings below the meter
    • Added in a randomization to the lie in the outer rough areas. Now you can get a little flyer or a tough lie if going into the deep rough. What you get is below the swing meter
    • Minor network improvements
    • Improvements to Backspin Physics providing a greater range of backspin results based on actual spin left on ball
    • Improvements to Wind which mean the ball moves around a little more on lower wind speeds and when hitting into the wind the extra effective ball speed causes side spin to have more effect the same with lift
    • Minor changes to the swing meter speed in chip mode and max power of the chip swing to accommodate new physics
    • Made changes to the was anti aliasing affects our rough textures to provide to a less blurry rough and outer terrain

    Bug Fixes

    • Renamed Points to 3 Person Points to make it clear you need 3 people
    • Fixed a multitude of scoring and game play bugs too numerous to mention individually but includes fixes to scorecard, scoring and playoffs
    • Fixed Results screen not showing on clients. Note the results screen will only appear when the host closes the scorecard and will disappear when the host closes the results screen causing the game to end.
    • Fixed the shot center getting reset when the player re aimed his shot
    • Fixed some errors with Real Time Weather stations not loading correctly
    • Fixed resolution reset on pushing an update
    • Added a sort to mop load to ensure everyone sees mops in same order irrespective of file system differences
    • Fixed need to sometimes have to click Quit twice to end the game
    • Fixed an overlapping blocker on the Practice Tab
    • Fixed Anti Aliasing not working when other effects turned off
    • Fixed Bunker Physics
    • Fixed bug in punch shot center mode that incorrectly reduced the impact
    • Fixed an error when hitting lob shots with 52 Wedge
    • Fixed Pin not showing on Par 3 occasionally
    • Fixed some UI elements not saving on exit
    • Fixed ordering of players on tee for some Mops
    • Fixed a sound issue with ball in rough

    Known Issues

There are a couple of items we did not resolve but wanted to get the release out

    • Occasionally in Alt Shot modes the next up player in the post shot screen is shown incorrectly
    • Occasionally a ball will get left on the screen during alt shot
    • Resume in alt shot results in each team losing a shot and being placed back where they were before the last shot with the order changed

That's everything since their last major update 17 days ago.

Now, they still have problems all over the place - significant ones that are too numerous to mention.  And they'll always have one insurmountable issue, which is that it's nice that their game only costs as much as a few sleeves of balls, but you need the hardware equivalent of Honma Five Stars in order to play with reasonable results.

Come on, WGT.  You opened up just a little last week, and the world didn't stop spinning.  It was much appreciated.  Please keep it up.  What's going on with the dots?

I see no difference with the dot speed now than before the update. I think the hotfix worked. The problem is actually perception, what we perceive. After the rocket speed dots after the update when they did the hotfix and slowed the dots down to normal speed they seemed to crawl. Much like how the meter seems to crawl after switching from the free ball to a slow meter ball.

Having seldom played Cabo before when it was available to play free I have played there day after day trying to learn the course, and I enjoy playing it plus it makes me look good LOL...

even though most greens are flat there are a few that are very tricky, and a few spots on several greens that have subtle breaks...I know every putt on this course now and I can assure you the dots are way off at Cabo...

I tried a couple of other courses I know pretty well and got same results...I guess it is my pc that is off, all 7 of them I tried to play on looking for the right combination ie: flash version/OS/memory/CPU/AV off/av on/ firewall off/firewall on....all of them are a mess I guess....

On the bright side my Gin game is starting to take shape again thanks to my 1 hole a day approach to this mess...

The best and ONLY way to describe WGT'S programmers, the site and customer Service is like this...

    W= Worlds

    G= greatest

    T= turbulence Ride

With all due respect, what you're seeing and stating vs. what the reality of this situation presently is, is as far from reality as your one putt stats are.  Hard to imagine that someone's played six and a half years on this site, and your one putts are at just over 35% ?

Putting it as nicely as I possibly can, you're probably not the person to analyze and give advice on anything to do with putting.

Dot speeds are still too slow, nowhere where they used to be. As a "miss ding " putter, what used to be1/8" off ding can now be anywhere from 1/2" to 3/4" or more, with no rhyme or reason. For the record, I am thoroughly disgusted that WGT has taken a great product, and over the years systematically degraded it to the point where it is barely worth playing. One can only wonder what in the hell is wrong with these people !

    Doc :(

    I choose 9th, if it a tailwind its a 3i and a putt or 2, if it a headwind its a 3w and a putt or 2..

Easy as that, 1 hole, 2 or 3 shots and u are done, this is also an easy and quick way to use your daily free cc pass..

I have been down for the count with a migraine for the last day.  Knew I needed to get my day played round/ hole in and went with the 10th hole at ST A's.

3wd onto the green, sink the eagle putt, go back to bed lol.

To whom it may concern on WGT's "staff" ... please announce in the announcements and news section of the forum, either when you are going to put things back to the way they were, or, failing that, when you are through tweaking the glitches you created, so that I, and many other players, can either resume normal playing, or choosing something else to do with our spare time. The game is playing so horribly, that it makes it pointless to play at all.

In retrospect, it's apparent why they didn't release Pebble Beach now .... "game improvements" took priority .... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ....................
