EGlass3: This isn't a matter of opinion. It is a fact the dot speeds are far slower, period.
I only see member opinions in this thread. Where do you see facts? If your statement is based on your opinion, well, you're not a great putter either. My putting stats are better than yours, and I don't consider myself even a good putter. I'm average at best for my level.
The great putters are coping just fine with the new dot speeds. We all need to adapt, not gripe. I went to the score histories of two top players, FARFOO & FMAGNETS.
I checked their scores on the same course both before the dot speed change and after. I did not include any scores from 2/25 to 3/1 because of the update(s) and the ding line being offset. (although they didn't score badly with the offset or the very fast dots)
Here's the results:
Yeah, I know all the arguments
Small samples, they have all the putts memorized and don't need no dots, they're top players they can handle anything thrown at 'em, they had good/bad wind sets......
So I picked 4 RGs and looked at the averages for the whole field, all players who didn't WD.
Not a whole lot of difference seen here either! About the only thing I notice is there are more WDs after the change. So people could still be adapting to whatever difference they see.
So what's to change? I wouldn't mind if WGT left it as is and moves on to fix the invite problem.
Fire away!
