Damn, I wouldn't want to be Icon , Admin or any of the others who show up now and then ant try to calm the angry villagers.  The torches are lit, the pitchforks are waving, it only needs one hot head to throw a stone and all hell will break loose.

Anyway, what was I rambling on about?  Oh yeah.  I really do feel for you guys, you aren't the ones who broke the game but you have to deal with the backlash that inevitably occurs.  If I were you I'd be very tempted to post the names and addresses of the people responsible, assuming you actually know them.

It's a huge let down to see the game being messed with and, for many, ruined in this way.  The really sad thing is that this game is still head and shoulders above anything else out there, including newer stuff that you have to pay for and download.  Whoever did the original programming did a superb job, they really did.  The physics of this game are brilliant, as long as you ignore some of the strange reactions you get when hitting a flagstick anyway.  I've yet to find an alternative that offers as much long term fun for so little outlay.  If you are lucky enough to be in a country where you can do surveys and watch videos it's free, even if you want to use good gear.

I really hope you can get these problems sorted and give us back the golfing experience we once enjoyed.  We all know it's still there somewhere, you just need to find it again.

It's a shame that Icon, Mr. Shoe, and admin have to meet the challenges of all these complaints about the game and all the current issues.  I don't know about Admin, but I am pretty sure that Icon and Shoe are not programmers, at least for the game, I mean they could be but I just don't think they are.  All they can do is to pass on to us what they are told about all these fun destroying issues that we are seeing.

I guess my biggest disappointment in WGT's representation to us about what is currently going on with the game is the lack of any leadership responses from the big cheese himself.  I retired from the corporate world in 2006 and could care less about what corporate is doing these days, but what I can say is that what we are seeing here, the game issues and all, is only a small piece of the real problem, and that real problem is that no one in Leadership at WGT seems to be concerned enough about what WE are experiencing to come on to the forum and offer any information that might put people at ease about what is going on with the game and what they are doing about it.

I really do NOT mean to take anything away from what ICON, SHOE or ADMIN have had to say about the situation, but you can only say  "we know there is a problem and we are looking into it" so many times when serious game issues that have been going on for about 3 months now have not been fixed.

    WGTadmin:

    Tightrope:

As I said in another thread - WGT - the invite problem seem to be browser dependent. It always work in Chrome for me, never in FF. But the Chrome flash sucks so I can not actually play with it.

We wish it were the case that the issue is browser dependent. Unfortunately, we have not been able to reproduce this situation consistently on one specific browser. This is a very low level code issue and is very difficult to fix. We sincerely apologize that this is taking longer than expected and truly appreciate your patience.

    WGT

Can you please explain what you mean by a "very low level code issue", Only I for one have never heard the term , Google search produced nothing , textbook search produced nothing, question put to company I T dept. produced nothing .

Or is this an "in house" phrase that  you think aptly explains the problem in a nutshell.

The only reference to "low level code" that most people are familiar with when use in terms of computing refers to 1st and maybe 2nd generation computer programming languages.

Now, if  this is actually  what your I T guys mean by "low level code" , or to use the correct term "machine code"  then the problem is a binary issue and "tinkering" is not going to cut it .

The usual way to go about finding faults in machine code , when you have exhausted   best guess methods is a binary search .

Ehm.. Flash, browsers, low level code...? Sorry, you are looking at the wrong place :)
Maybe cache? Cookies? My Chrome = success & Firefox = fail could be reproduced many times and unless my Chrome connected to a healthy server while Firefox insisted on connected to a bad one, the issue is definitely client side and definitely not low level.

I think I'm gonna lay off play for the rest of the month ..,.. daily CDP only ...

That way I won't have to deal, yet another month, with a change during the VT final round with an unannounced change that leads to a bad score ...

Email me when the game is back to normal WGT ? Thanks ....

Main problems arose from 12.12.14 in my view, thats approx 2000 hrs. Yes the IT guy needs to sleep for a quarter of that and with weekends and an odd annual day holiday, then i suggest he has had around 1000 hours to sort this out.

Would work it out properly but i will get back to you in 1000 hrs with that one
