    Hello WGT,

This will be my first and last post.

I love your golf simulation and have been playing for a couple of years now.

My friends and I have enjoyed many hours of fun with your game when it's working right.

There have been a few issues with sending invites lately and I'm starting to get a little concerned.

I'm sure this game has been growing by leaps and bounds since I've joined.

I'm sure you know about this particular issue.

I'm not sure how you ("WGT") will be able to accommodate the influx of new accounts.

This requires an increase of server capability and the personnel to make it happen.

In order for this to take place, you will need to spend $$$$ if you want to make WGT Golf the best game ever!

I've taken the survey you've sent me and and expressed my comments honestly.

    I have a few suggestions:

    1. offer an exclusive membership (Monthly or annual fee) to allow golfers like me to enjoy "all" of your golf courses (Full 18 hole rounds)

    2. Go through all of your accounts and remove any non-active players that haven't logged in for over 2 months.

    3. Country Clubs are OK for the social butterflies, but for golfers like me, I just want to golf without all the fluff and I'm sure a lot of my friends would agree.

    4. Stay true to the real reason why you created this game in the first place.

    Regards,

    Marco

    1. offer an exclusive membership (Monthly or annual fee) to allow golfers like me to enjoy "all" of your golf courses (Full 18 hole rounds)

Will drive many players away and will be less lucrative for the company - less income equals less development By limiting your customer base is suicidal.

    2. Go through all of your accounts and remove any non-active players that haven't logged in for over 2 months.

Talk of driving away customers, well in this case removing them. Yes many dead accounts that should be removed but you really did not think this through. Suddenly your subscription fees would soar. I guess you are not in business yourself. Imagine going into Wal Mart and being refused service...because you have not purchased anything in the last couple of months. Sheesh ideas like these you could get a job in WGT marketing department!

    3. Country Clubs are OK for the social butterflies, but for golfers like me, I just want to golf without all the fluff and I'm sure a lot of my friends would agree.

Country Clubs are often the life blood of WGT and has nothing to do with being social butterflies, but a place to play with like minded people. And for the record, no-one forces anyone to be a CC member, so where is the problem? Then again someone who has hit level 90 and only 27 ranked rounds yet has loads of alt and m/p, you appear to like the social interaction but do not see the value in a CC - seems a contradiction.

    4. Stay true to the real reason why you created this game in the first place.

WGT have stayed true - the objective was to make money But I forgot, you want to make this game elitist with a subs only basis.

Memberships will drive people away - especially older players (on fixed incomes). This obsession is too expensive as it is.

People become bored, discouraged or just plain tired of the game after different periods of time. They will stop playing, some will just disappear and some may start playing again after a break.  Non-playing members do not affect you or your play and WGT, obviously, believes that it is to its advantage to keep them on the 'roster'.

Country Clubs permit players to compete with a "like minded' people and not worry about playing with "quitters", "cheats", or "multi's".  They also provide an atmosphere that encourages helping fellow members improve their games.  Not a lot of "fluff" (whatever that means) in my club.

I'm amazed that players who have been here for about 2 years feel that they have "Mastered" - Kiawah, Oakmont, BPB, St. Andrews, RGS, Olymipic, Pinehurst #2, Merion, Congressional and for a few cents more - Cabo and Whistler.  The CTTH tournaments offer more courses - but they have not been photographed, "videoed" and measured in sufficient detail to offer the quality of product that they demand. If you do not understand why there are not more courses, I suggest that you delve into the Forum >> over there >>>  and find out what goes into producing what we have now.

It's not perfect, in fact it has a lot of warts - but it really is the best available.

    lindseyak:

It used to be the best available, they now have competition, and they really don't give a c r a p....but they should if they want to keep their jobs, the new game is getting better and better by the day...$40 dollars one time only, as opposed to $40 here each month on 'balls', tournaments, new equipment....etc.....smiles...I can only think that the 'hidden' owners of this site have bought shares in the other company....maybe Donald Trump should be contacted, god knows he could figure out how to set up an alternative to this and given the 'margins' he would probably put his best people onto it...hmm...note to self, e-mail the Trump Organization........

Whilst I concur there are a lot of issues that WGT have yet to address, this is still far better than the "competition" and is still the best golf game on the market.

WGT have never cared to listen to their customers, nor barely communicate with their customers.

The "competition" is far from being a genuine competitor in terms of game play or courses and is naive to think the game will survive on one off charge to play.....I assume new courses will be "sold" as an upgrade.

But by all means call Donald Trump, and I am positive we will see improvements here offset by higher pricing. I must also note - a presumptious call on the margins - perhaps you could explain this in detail or admit you have no idea and you are just being assumptive. Ifit was that easy and that profitable, do you really think there would only be one other company trying to get their slice of the market? And that was after begging investors to get it off the ground.

There is no limitation to play any available course - some are only available in CTTH and Blitz. So why any exclusive memberships with monthly fixed costs for us?

I LOVE the thought that I define my game costs by the type of balls used and by the number of games played.

    2. Go through all of your accounts and remove any non-active players that haven't logged in for over 2 months.

Why do those inactives bother you? They are but names on a list, and we all take profit from them: They are good for the company's advertizing income and thus for the commercial stability of the game.

    Stay out, problem solved.

Allow others to have their fun, to seek community with all amenities. (e.g. having free Putter & Shot Pals).

Sorry to say, I see no rationale for these three suggestions.

What is this "true reason", and why should they stick with it? Objectives of life and of business change, and nobody outside may control it.

Your only chance is to adapt your own objectives to reality. Be the change!

They are WGT, hope is futile.

    Exactly.

Those waiving the flag are "generally" the ones that for whatever reason could not / can't win too much here.  All will be well with the not too much real game play on offer until (and if) they get real comps going.  The same complaints over they can and I can't have not even started yet (if real comps are even planned, not checked).

Agree with rest of what you said too........

Also +1...........apart from maybe to add I see no rationale for any of it:)

It really is sad that this is the best available.  It appears that WGT is only interested in money and not improving the actual product they have.  There is absolutely no consistency in this game.  I just hit a 110 club uphill into a 17-19 MPH wind 117 yards.  Hard to improve your scores when this constantly happens.

I have a feeling you would be glad this was your last post...lol

Whilst your concerns may be valid, your " fix" suggestions are not.

    Marcot333:
    1. offer an exclusive membership (Monthly or annual fee) to allow golfers like me to enjoy "all" of your golf courses (Full 18 hole rounds)

My thoughts are that just being a member of WGT is already exclusive. This "extra" exclusivity will indeed drive people away.

    Marcot333:
    2. Go through all of your accounts and remove any non-active players that haven't logged in for over 2 months.

As others have said...to what advantage? I know of many players that lose interest in the game, or life gets in the way so they take a few months break...are they to return to their accounts closed?

    Marcot333:
    3. Country Clubs are OK for the social butterflies, but for golfers like me, I just want to golf without all the fluff and I'm sure a lot of my friends would agree.

As a CC Owner myself...this one really grinds at me. I never have, and never will be classed as a "social butterfly" lol. As someone said previously, CCs are the backbone of WGT, and provide an avenue for friendship, trust and fun for like minded players.I do NOT provide "FLUFF" to my members.

    Marcot333:
    4. Stay true to the real reason why you created this game in the first place.

Even though I agree with Lindsey's campaign to get WGT to do something to fix the problems, I WILL say they have always stayed true to the reason this game was created. They just need to listen more to the masses, and understand that it is we...the minions...that are filling their pockets.

    Rob :))
