My experience has been the same.  Meter glitches and physics defying randomness have always been a part of wgt, but more so lately.  WGT must want it that way to level the playing field more than they care about fairness.  Or, they could be designing the site to reflect psychology experiments finding that animals who received rewards only SOME of the time for performing certain behaviors actually repeated those behaviors more incessantly than animals that got rewards EVERY time they performed the behavior.

Jake:  thanks for the full description of your round and for actually admitting to withdrawing when the frustration with the game's performance gets to be too much.  The randomness and flaws in the game are what prevents me from playing private games and from entering many pay to play tourneys.  If I want to shoot craps, I'll go down to the corner.

I still enjoy the game enough to keep trying and hope someday the broken parts (if they are broken) get fixed.

Good news- I didn't break my computer AGAIN.  Bad news- I now have a goose egg on the right side of my head the size of baseball.  Man I wish I wasn't so competitive!

Jake that is a great story. I empathize with your round in the Legend Open. Last month's was at St. Andrews and I was -11 at one point headed to 15. A meter freeze (at 15) and a slider (at 16) and all of a sudden a possible win turns into a 65 or 66 or something like that. I think all of us have horror stories, of great rounds turned awful by meter problems.

The one that sticks in my mind worst, I was -9 on 17 tee in a St. Andrews B9 RG (I eagled 14). I had a perfect distance to the back pin, nice wind, and - bam! - meter totally freezes on the way down. Not only is it horribly pulled, but it ends up running in the fairway left of the green... out of bounds. I mean, it's only about 15 yds off the green left, I can see it, but it's OB. So I have to re-hit from about 205 again :). So in one hole, I got metered, and it was so bad it ended up out of bounds, in a place that normally would not be. My dreams of 25 or 26 were dashed, I shot 28 and ended up losing the RG in a tiebreak.

.... like today's St. Andrews 18, where I lost to Chris/price's 58. Come on, we should enter different ones! :)

Ive said it before I really think the meter stops, sputters are a built in feature. Why else would they have an award for saving par after a drive of less than a hundred yards? Who would do that on purpose?

There is an issue with displaying the premium tournament rules right now.  But here's a link to the September Multi-Round tournament rules that has the info you want.

    Thanx Andy for the info.

Got another request. Can't find the rules & regulations link now either. Is that being updated or under "issue" also?

If by rules & regulations you mean the Terms and Conditions the you'll find it at the very bottom of this page.
