Ever wonder how mch green fees these courses are?

Fees and green fees for the courses listed in WGT.

All the stroke courses on here:

St Andrews- $25-30 Riding carts are $11.50

Bandon Dunes $75.00- $275.00

Bethpage. Fee- $130 for non-resident, $43 resident and $, 37 for electric cart, all for 18 holes

Cabo Del sol $208-218 + 15% IVA tax

Chambers Bay From $89-159 state residents get lowest fees.

Congressional GC on weekends. $500.00 says 0 for weekdays, but probably members only

Kiawah- ranging from $280-$390 there are some public courses also

Merion Weekend fees are $225.00

Oakmont GCC $225 includes cart.

Olympic’s fees were not available to find. Only saying it is a private club.

Pinehurst #2 $440.00

ST. Georges . £100.00

Whistler128 per person includes room

CTTH courses only

Bali Hai. $ 225.00

Harbour Town $285-$320

Edgewood Tahoe $140.00-$240.00 depending on time of year and 90 days in advance tee time

Hilversumche From €135.00

Manale From 210.00-225.00

Koele from $225.00 presently closed for alterations

Wolf Creek $75-$102

I can handle the St. Andrews fees, beyond that I 'virtually' can't afford to play golf!

Also you will have to be quick if you want to play Royal S.t George for £100 as that price expires at the end of March.

2015 March Greenfees

Individual 18 Holes - £100

Individual 36 Holes - £140 (Both rounds must be played on the same day)
Society Packages (12 or more players) from £115 per person for 18 holes

2015 Summer Green Fee Charges

Individual 18 Holes - £170
Individual 36 Holes - £210 (Both rounds must be played on the same day)
Society Packages (12 or more players) from £180 per person for 18 holes

Quite imprecise I fear.

Regular green fee on the Old Course is 170 GBP(!), reduced to 80 GBP right now. Cart is only available to handicapped persons - gratuit - but with a caddie driver
(50 GBP + tip). Same on Castle Course. Manual trolley is 5 GBP but times to use them on the Old Course are limited.

On the other courses, the buggy fee is 25 GBP.

On the Twenty Ten, they range from 85 GBP to 175 GBP, excluding a buggy.

Pebble Beach (pdf) is missing, 495 $ plus cart unless residential. Minimum Room rate 670 $ (from April 1st, 2015).

I won't check nor believe the other numbers given.

St andrews has just won another award . They now have the most expensive hotels in great britain . They are now more costly than london to stay .

...and the Old Course tee times are heavily asked for.

I received this offer from a travel agent in 2013:

One nights, Bed & Breakfast staying at The 5* Old Course Hotel
One round on The Old Course (Monday 13th May @ 13.40)
One round on The New Course (Included as part of the Old Course tee time)
Full use of the leisure facilities

Price per golfer is £890.00 based on two people sharing
Price per golfer is £970.00 based on single room occupancy

This would largely cover my travel costs for a week in Carnoustie then, albeit excluding the green fees. But, I played the New Course + The Himalayas for less than 100 £ on a Saturday - priceless!

While St Andrews is wonderful, and so is Carnoustie, played them when I was an 18 handicap, the west side of Scotland has some wonderful courses aside of Turnberry.

The Ayrshire coast is a goldmine of good and cheap golf.

There are also plenty of municipal [ council owned ] golf courses all around st andrews for less than £20 for 18 holes and a lot more enjoyable for the average double digit handicapper .

Most locals hire out there houses when the open is on . You pay them to hire their house and they all move over to spain for a week . Suits everyone . Hey john - how did that total eclipse go today .Next one is in 75 years .
