Chrome recommendations?

  I am still having problems with a jumpy meter in Chrome. Chrome is, however, the lesser of all evils. I've tried every other browser and none are better. So...can somebody see anything in my settings that needs work?

  Don't, use Maxthon or F fox......or disable peprflash and fook around with other flash versions..

  Can get mine smooth on chrome now, but my stick on pp won't fit.

  Hey tbh, if you know what 1/2 of that means then.......should be easy :))

  you have 2 files of flash, even though 1 is disabled you will still have problems as i did until i went up to adobe web site and uninstalled the other 1 and problems were gone.

  Keep the top file and delete the bottom one and problem solved. you can also clear the flash cache from advanced settings or on adobes web site, i use both. hope this helps

     I used to use Chrome to play WGT, and when I did I had ALL plugins disabled, except ONE flash player. Choose either Pepper or Adobe, which one is up to you, whatever works best.

  I leave 1 Chrome Extension enabled - Ad Block.

  Immediately before I want to play I close Chrome and I have CCleaner set up to clear all of Chromes caches AND to clear the flash player caches too.

  Once that is done I restart Chrome, only open the WGT game client tab, log into the game client, turn off those Game Settings that use CPU resources, start Windows Task Manager so I can monitor My CPU's activity level so i can see when the CPU has settled down and I can start the downswing. I also use a shot/putter pal type display called VGG Caddy so that is also active.

  One that gets very little play in the forums is the simple expedient of making sure all drivers, especially vid, are up to date. Flash changes so often that many drivers go out of date pretty fast.

  I notice that it still mentions "PepperFlash"? I remember an older post stating to get rid of any "pepperFlash"? If so the problem becomes finding an older version of flash, which will work with Chrome AND provide a smooth meter? That could be a long and tedious process, me thinks.

  I will make sure all other drivers are up to date (Windows Update is not showing any needed...but we all know only Windows approved ones will show up there!).

  I will mention, as I have previously in another post,...Chrome was smooth as silk after I upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit (IE 10 was the pits and 11 only does "tabbed browsing"...hate that and won't use IE 11 because of it). Then the January WGT update happened and my meter on Chrome immediately went to "jackrabbit" mode. I have tried every other browser I can find...and chrome is still the "best"...but nowhere near where it used to be.

  This may be a losing battle for me, for now. I Just want to be sure I haven't missed something that will improve my meter.

  It's a lot less hassle with Maxthon 3. When you download it you get a Flash version and that's it. No updating needed. Adhunter also makes sure you never see an ad anywhere.

  All this upgrading and disabling shite is only asking for problems.

  I disable PepperFlash.

  I went to the Adobe Flash player web site and downloaded a non-pepperflash version and keep the (17.0.0.134 is current) non-pepperflash version updated:

   C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_17_0_0_134.dll
