US Open qualifier....IS ON!

  As far as 1st hole, it is a tough one as US Open will play it different each day depending on tees and conditions. This will be true for 18 as well. Some days 1 will be a par 4 and 18 will be a five and vise versa. Will have to look at the 2 holes together as par 9.

  Just played the 18 one hole at a time and looks great. Easy of course from front tees and standard greens, however as the greens are quicker, the challenges will begin. Lots of fairway areas and the short game will have to be sharp to score.

  I've just played a couple of the holes using the one-at-a-time method. However I noticed that there are players listed under "Chambers Bay recent top scorers"

  

   

  From looking at the players score history it does appear that these players have played a full 18 hole round on the  new course.

  

   

  How is this possible. Have these players found a way to play the full course and if so would they care to enlighten the rest of us how it's done.

  here is two different tee yardages i have seen online when par 5 or 4

  1st hole 598 /496 and also 598 /501, where did 560yd come from

  Was wondering about the same when I played single holes.

  However those scores were made WGT should not show them, what is the reason for it?. Ohh well, perhaps they were WGT course testers...apologies.

  only remembered the 4th hole should be a par 4 of 495yds. lucky for us its a par 5, wgt have it as a par 71, i thought it was going to be par 70 after reading different articles online

  Just played all 18 holes on Chambers Bay, really enjoyed the course. Thank you WGT, good choice.

  Eric, I think you're spot on, 56 might be the number...although cut line at 55 wouldn't surprise me.  I managed a 60 last night (nine birds and one eagle) and could maybe find a few more, given enough tries...which is exactly what wgt would like to see, a flock of players going through untold numbers of balls in pursuit of the cut.
