  Hi, we are a small new cc, we have over 20 members recently cut from over 30. When i set Spartans away i stated it was imperative to do both (understanding not everyone can or has to play all comps). So i have reduced club leaving virtually all active players left.

  My recently started 2nd season handicap has led to 22 of the 24 members entering it, which is to me exactly what i was after.......BUT i dont want to stand still and i am asking for below, so that membership and activity grow hand in hand.

  If theres an owner who has great ideas but struggling to grow club, you and your members may wish to join us and you can become a Director. My existing Director runs majors and all his sleeve giveaway tournaments and i fully support him in that, and would allow you to do your thing also.

  Understandable most would not wish to, but advert is in case someone out there does

  Above slightly edited, had one discussion with an owner off previous advert, just plain and simple discussions, no grief or pressure

  A good porposal bubbs, especially when a CC is half dead because the owner went for good - if you only find anybody who's still active.

  Cheers Alosso, yeah a lot of clubs out there struggling i think. Folk create and then cant grow as big clubs have the XP attraction, plus they are seasoned and well ran, so get bigger and bigger.

  We are fine as activity my aim and we have that, no matter how many members we have.

  For info the discussions i have been having with another owner has worked, we have spoken at length and i think he is coming, small club but a very organised lad. Director he will be and do as he pleases reg comps he used to run.

  If i could have 4 directors then i would pester the life out of you lol ;-)

  That's good news about your negotiations!

  Alas, to become a Director of no advantages is not my goal - I even haven't appointed any in my CC...

  Furthermore, the concept of German language  exclusively  is successful and worth upholding.

  Very envious of the fact that you have all of those lower tier players being so active for you.  You must be doing something right.... Best of luck going forward, Bubbs.

  Thanks a lot, perseverance lol. Yeah our recent handicap started and then we had 24 members and 22 took part, another owner joined now and he can do his stuff

  As said handicap key for me, our TL still won season 1 but he had to work for it, tightens everyone up well, he aint leading season 2 (yet lol). Of course we dont just do h/caps.

  We are short of Ls/TLs which is a shame as im desperate for cc v cc stuff, but generally they taken up with the big lads, we will see. Only saplings not Oaks, but one day lol

  Mate ive been working during this week with another owner, he just dismantled his club and joined (as director as promised). We cant have any more directors, but i put this thread out not just for us personally but to all the smaller clubs, that it maybe way forward.

  No doubt we are all doing loads but these large clubs started like us, i pride myself in work i do for club and a lot of the smaller clubs advertising on forum should to

  Just the lure of established clubs is strong for TLs/Ls especially

  Keep it up mate, your club looks good, activity mate, no good them getting free this and that for the sake of XPs....IMHO
