Tour Master Tier - Curious???

  If a tour master can be reached with a best 9 hole of 31 and best 18 hole of 70 how come I'm still on master tear with a 9 hole of 30 and 18 hole of 65.

  Just curious as I've seen a few other tour masters on the same kinda stats.

  example....

  my stats...

  Stroke Play Score Average	65.81
  Best 9-Hole Round	30
  Best 18-Hole Round	65
  Total Ranked Rounds Played	84

  I've had an average of 64 and that made no difference at all.

  tour master example...

  Stroke Play Score Average	67.00
  Best 9-Hole Round	31
  Best 18-Hole Round	70
  Total Ranked Rounds Played	134

  I'm thinking it must be down to the number of ranked rounds.

  TBE,

  i really dont no the answer myself but i wreckon it could be even thou ur shooting lower remember u are on a diffrent tier to him, but it does he is contant in this rounds to have that avg over a longer period

  You need an average below 65 to make the change.

  I have been at 64.85 for ages an I'm still a Master, can someone from WGT please explain.

  possibly you have to shoot a 64 in a tournament

   

  i've tried everything else....had an average of 64.....shot 65 at st andrews in a tourney.....just shot  7 under par at this weeks unlimited, so it can only be 2 things....

  1/ have enough ranked rounds

  2/ shoot 64 in a tourney.

   

  I'm sitting at 31 in a multi round so if I hit a 64 or less and don't turn tour master then it's truly an enigma and to be honest I've more to do with my time than chase a tier which seems a bit like a lottery when i've played against 2 tour masters this week who have a lowest 9 of 31 and lowest 18 of 70...... so going on that basis....I'm stuck for answers how they reached tour master because them stats don't make sense if the average is around 64.

   

  For sure they possibly hit a few 31's to get to 64 at some stage, but so have I and it did nothing. I'm thinking the tier is a bit like the pay goes......winners drawn at random.
