Last response. Why do you need to pick on people to get your kicks? I've been a TL for a long time. Long before they brought out short tees and before they had all the long hitting clubs.

I've never claimed to be any good at this game and I'm more interested in running a country club than actually playing these days. Feel free to give a foul mouthed reply. I won't be reading it.

    aaaaw, you feeling bullied ?

Go to WGT and get me sanctioned as you threatened to do, 2 years ago ?

I thought you were trying to bully me into submission then.....^^

      ^^^ but I didn't moan about it obviously !

Deal with the Forum or do one ?

If we post then we put ourselves 'out there'..be the response ridicule or affirmation...chance we all take ?

^^ and either, or is meaningless...who cares ??

Oh my....I respect and admire Courtney. She operates our very finest Country Club and has done so for a very long time. She is, as a matter of fact, one of a few top players here that play little and keep this little meaningless game in it's proper perspective. She is always helpful and concise, kind, and right and correct 99.4% of the time. I would never miss reading her comments here because of all the above. She has earned my interest in the noble, old fashioned way...the good way....others here, I also read, but out of the enjoyment of laughing at their stupidity.  ~ SP ~

Yeah, used to....trouble is, She makes a rod for Her own back..

The lack of consistency, of the words posted,  over the years...

    grates on me a tad....

You EVER gonna change that dress SP ?

    Best you ever looked ??

Picturing you in a red satin number.....;-)))

The only thing over inflated and under respected is YOU !   No etiquette , no respect. I'd walk miles to prevent sharing a fairway with you !  To end , ( while asking myself why I even began replying to someone who jumps on innocent comments like a frigging hungry piranha on a dead chicken carcass) ...How Serenity tolerates you is beyond me...You do not "represent" well at all !

Back to the legitimate comment that the original poster made.

WGT does this on a number of holes and I don't believe that it has anything to do with the pin placement but rather than the distance shown from tee to green is often a straight line to the center of the green, unless that line takes itself off the area of play in the course.

A few examples, an hole 9 at Kiawah is a good one, is the short par four holes, 10 and 12 at St Andrews measure very different from the tee to the pin than the distance shown.  At Kiawah on 9 and 18, dogleg holes the distance shows much shorter than the actual distance that you play.    I can't remember the exact figures but I know that 9 is 20 yards or so longer and I think 18 is close to 30 or more based on where the center of the fairway is versus the direct line to the pin.

Many of us have played here for a long time and understand this and just live with it.   I think that a new player asking this question should get a respectful answer to a legitimate question rather than berated about it.

    Nah...It is a picture (the only one taken) at the stroke of mid-night, 1-1-2009, my 21st birthday and my first legal drink. It was the only singular photo of me at a gala party with around 50+ guests. It was not selected for any other reason and it in no way highlights any of my attractiveness, in fact, it does the opposite....;-}

Looks like you might have had a couple before midnight S.P.! :)

P.S. If that pic doesn't show off your attractiveness you must REALLY be hot!
