Can WGT play on Macbook?

  hey, i'm new to this and i have a mac book. Do any of you run the game on OSx? If so please help, i can't open a new window to play the game? Thanks

  Yes.. the game runs quite well on a macbook.

  One player I know personally will only use his macbook to play this game... and as an added bonus he does not suffer ANY swing meter stutters or glitches.

  He is not exactly the most computer literate fellow in the world, so I don't see him doing anything special to run the game.  He uses "Safari" I think that's what it's called... goes to the home page and starts playing.  As far as I know has not had an issue since day 1 of playing.

  Anyone try running this on a Linux based system?  I've been considering blowing the dust off the old man pages to see if I can still do it... just wondering what the performance is like.

  You may need to load the adobe flash player for safari

  I only play on a Macbook and my average used to be 62 before they released Bethpage, so yeah :)

  I recommend getting a USB mouse. When you only use your trackpad there is some lag that can be annoying.

  Yes, Mac's work fine. USB mouse IS the best bet for a laptop.  i'm running an OSx also, you just need to 

  disable the "Block Pop up Windows"   Just click on Safari (top of screen) just below Preferences you will see

  Block pop up....... just click that to disable.   Click it again to able.

  Try going direct to the  game client.

  If that works, bookmark it for future reference.

  It runs but not well.  You have to install the "unsupported" flash player for Linux, which will be hard to find nowadays.  And you have to use Firefox on Linux. (I have had to manually install the flash plugin in the plugins folder on Linux to get it to work.  Multiple Distributions.  Old Windows 2000 machine works way better.)
