  Rules say must bounce the ball over the dike - which is the Burn.

  And the replay example shows St. Andrews #1.

  No less than 4 references.  So you better get good glasses! Maybe 2 pairs of bifocals???   lol

  It was unfortunate that Icon forgot to mention posting the screenie showing the distance and speed. But clearly the distance from the hole is critical when there is a CTTH prize on offer. Surely when all the competitions run require you to post proof of your result - it should be pretty clear that you need to post something showing your distance? The screenie of the location your ball finishes is the best option as it also shows the green speed.

  You have to post proof in most other comps - it is not a matter of trust of any individuals - just the only real way to qualify for the event and for the judges to determine the winner.

  Icon didn't say to post a replay either - but you all did that.

  If someone entered with no replay - just a post saying "I did it Yay!!!!   1.5 ft"    I'm sure you would all accept the fact that this is not enough to win it!   I see no difference.

  Maybe Icon will pay out a sleeve anyway to those 3 who did not realize due to him forgetting to include the posting requirements to enter (Icon -  man up on this one).

  But I am going to remove the ones without a screen shot from the list - opening those spots up in the first 10 for other entries to qualify for the result - and add those 3 names on the bottom and leave it up to Icon if they get a consolation sleeve.

  On the good news front - Icon has raised the bounty on sub 3 footers to 2 sleeves. And remember anyone who holes out gets 5 sleeves.

  Really mate?  This is a fun contest not an exercise in semantics.  From the replay you can see the ball bouncing before and over the burn.  The only thing that comes in to play is the exact distance and the green speed and this being an exercise in fun and golf being a "gentleman's game"  I choose to believe some one untill  they have proven themselves to be untrustworthy.

  Just my humble opinion,   I for one did not sign up for the prize although nice it is more of the challenge and the fun completing the challenge.

  Cheers Take care mate and stand by what  I said that 1ej and Eric although now posting a shot w/screenie still deserve there  just rewards.

  For the record - I agree with you that those 3 should get their sleeve. As suggested to Icon in my note.

  However I do not wish to have those 3 entries take up spots in the top ten places that other players could argue are still up for grabs.

  I would prefer to allow 10 entries with screen shots of the distance - and for Icon to pay out the other 3 entries anyway - because there is no suggestion they have cheated in any way. It is his fault that they did not know to post the screenie. So he should man up and pay out x 13.

  Speaking of keeping score - Icon said he would allow this to run until the 10th

  He listed no time - so I am going to assume the end of that day -- 23:59 PST on 10th.

  This is where we currently stand:-

   

  

  Icon should pay the sleeve to oneeyedjohn & gdog8.   oneeyedjohn needs to nominate what balls he wants though - or Icon will ship him a sleeve of Starter Balls.

  As in the previous 2 challenges - the first 10 to post qualify for a prize. But the challenge remains open for those 10 to improve their result.

  The bonus of 2 sleeves for "inside 3 ft" was offered by Icon "FROM now on" when he posted yesterday. So nobody yet qualifies for those 2 sleeves.

  There is still a spot to get into the top 10.

  And remember ANYONE who can hole out gets 5 sleeves automatically - in the top 10 or not.

  I hope everyone is enjoying the challenges - this being the 3rd community challenge now Icon has sponsored.

  I had another go with moderate winds this morning, trying for the HIO, and after plonking half a dozen balls in the burn, I checked to see I wasn't dunking Nikes having forgotten to change balls overnight.

  Yup - it was pretty important that this challenge be "Starter Balls Only".

  1. Who would play using paid balls???  Nobody!

  2. Starter Balls have the perfect distance to make the challenge just hard enough to bounce the burn and try to hold green.

  Hey m8, we are here to have fun not to cheat in order to win ......a sleeve.

  Whether my 2.2 feet shot gives 2 or no sleeve is not important, Icon did not specify the screen in first place and that is the problem with guys who did NOT upload.

  All 10 first shots ought to have a prize anyways and if my last shot is nr. 11, it should not have a prize.

  & lets this thing rest in peace.........................................................

  I have no idea why you guys are getting sh!tty with me - I'm just trying to post the leader-board. There is no point arguing with me - I agree already. But its not me who pays out the prizes.

  I agree there was a problem that it was not made clear what was needed in your post - that is why I have said all the way though - that those 2 guys should still get a sleeve. I'm pretty sure Icon will honor that.

  I have also said throughout that I do not suspect anyone of cheating.

  Eric - you have lost nothing - you would have got a sleeve for 2.2 ft , you still get a sleeve for your 3.5 ft

  Doing it my way Icon pays out 12 prizes.  Top 10 - plus the 2 extra ones.

  Doing it your way he pays out just the 10.

  You can only win 1 prize.  It's the first 10 players to post -- not a prize for each post.

  You can improve your result by posting a closer shot. This could improve your prize.

  I can't just let it rest in peace - I have to publish the results - so this will keep going until the 10th. After that Icon will pay out the sleeves.
