different distances fro tee box on Chambers back 9

  Uh yea I was playing the back 9 w/ this dude...and I noticed on a couple of holes he was hitting from tees that were closer..#16 is 418 yds....his tee yardage was 401yds..WTF!...#18 is 584 yds.....his tee yardage was 564 yds..huh?..why?....we're both legends..don't understand...unless its a new cheat that has just come out...I don't know...

  You haven't heard of that cheat yet.

  I tee up 100 yards from the pin ;)

  He must have been a TM, maybe he won and got promoted to legend after the match ?

  It's something I've noticed too ... but it's not what it appears to be. All legend tier players tee off from the same tee, HOWEVER ... as soon as one player strikes his tee shot, the yardage shown in the upper right hand box drops to the shorter yardage. I noticed it twice on #18, but not on any other holes. Really wasn't looking for it when I saw it so probably have missed it on some other holes. You probably noticed that despite the yardage differences, your two drives were going approximately the same distances (give or take a few yards) ...

  It's a bug ... the site is infested with little creepy crawly critters ...

  No ... Next time you are on a tee box, click on the dot in the mini map to get the TRUE yardage of the hole being played.

  What I was saying Zio, is that him seeing the distances stated differently for him and for his opponent is the bug ....

  I think Zio was pointing out that the yardage in the upper right is not necessarily reliable on any WGT course from the tees, whereas the yardage displayed when you hover the cursor over the player dot on the tee on the mini-map is.

  Agreed ... not necessarily reliable. However, it's doubtful the OP was hovering his cursor over the dot when he was shooting and when his opponent was shooting. And if he was, he would have seen the same distances, because they were both Legend Tier players . Most probably glanced up and saw the lower  "after ball strike" distance ... and granted it could be dropping to the correct distance.

  Which is why I said it was a bug ... it shouldn't drop in distance. There is a counter in the bottom corner of the screen that shows the changing distance ... I've never seen the distance in the upper right hand box drop on any other course at any time. 

  If we're going to have a disagreement, let's disagree about the same thing ... not two different things.

  NO.. Mr Doh Doh..he wasn't a TM before we started playing and no again Mr.Doh Doh about the dumb promotion to L after the match...you don't have to comment...you know that right?..like a famous wise man told me once..."Better to be a smartass..than a dumbass"...you're in the clear Mr Doh Doh...

  In the top, before the shot, you see the scorecard length of the hole which may be different to the current distance to the pin, coming up after the shot and on the blue dot on the mini map.

  I remember some variations in MP games coming from the "before and after" views but I can't explain it now.

  Best thing is to look at the tee pegs. Same colour, same distance.

  Furthermore, you see the scorecard lengths of all players on the scorecard IIRC - this should remove any doubt.

  If you play the 2nd hole at Kiawah this bug shows up as well.

  I think it is 543 or something like that from the Legend tees, but a number like 501 shows up after the first legend hits which I think is the distance from tee to hole on a direct line.
