but the 51 at WGT was posted by a computer geek, nothing more, nothing less.

    Definition of computer geek ?

You are L92 and your scores are awful........With that much time in you could be doing way better with some half understanding (including better equipment to really compete but what you have is not responsible for how very poor you are).  No disrespect but you are so poor, and so far away from the ball park in a way which demonstrates zero knowledge, and something very wrong..........That's not computer geek that's fundamentally just crap.

Good practice versus bad - that bit is no different here.  What is different is your unusually dreadfully low skill base at such a high level, for both time in and apparently RL aptitude for co-ordination.

Was sure some feathers would be ruffled, sorry about that, but you really missed the point. When a person in this games score is a 51 first time out, tell me,really?I can see you have alot longer than I have,so congrats to you.Having ADHD,this actually the first game I have been able to play since Pacman and Pinball. But like I said reality and an algorithm based game are really two differant animals. And as far as my terrible scores,I try to complete a game when I start regardless if the scores are bad or not. This discussion almost reminds me of the one between a real journalict and some blogger writing from his mother's basement.Don't take things so seriously my friend, there are alot of more important things than a video game.

I am a complete and utter non gamer - kids growing up playing sport to a very good level etc etc and PC games not much interest to me part from this.  Played sport to a good level myself in the past, and past my best for that now. See you are wrong again.

No feathers ruffled just that you are so far away from the ball park in this game.  To get to an OK level is there for any one with any aptitude for any ball game.

Away from 51 the fact is your scores are terrible, and unusually so very often.  No clue what is wrong but algorithms are not the problem......wrong again.  Maybe you are happy, but as you commented just letting you know as why comment if completely happy.  Also felt worthwhile pointing out how wrong you are in your assertions..E.G. I shot a 55 first go, and no top player, no load of notes, no desire to get them and certainly no computer geek as demonstrated.

L92 in the space of time you have been here is some play indeed, and you are shooting worse than I would expect a child to shoot after an hour.  No other way of putting it.......  Your attitude is not good if you do wish to improve, and second only to any ability you have demonstrated - saying something.    I agree way more important things, just a bit of fun in between stuff.

Just letting you know as the amount of time you spend here I can see it must / would often be frustrating being that horrendous.

If VEM is in play all of the time, how do people still score -19 on a round?  How can you compensate for the erratic tendencies of VEM?

works both ways....ever missed a putt real bad and it drops ?? just sayin :)

This is very British understatement Jim.

Plain German truth would include to utter that this bayside bag is a complete mess, from the L75 driver to the Starter irons and wedges, with a special mention to the L90 RZN Nike balls!

This must be WGT's ideal customer, doing all wrong concerning his interests and doing everything right for the company.

My two Pfennig: Better wedges, less expensive balls.

    Have fun, bayside boy!

I guess this week's disaster at the US Open is the prime example why,as good and as fun WGT is,it IS a computer game and not the real thing.I see how some have posted a 51 round here and congrats to them. But watching the rounds on the TV trying to figure how to improve MY scores,I realize that there is no comparison. Please don't take this as an insult guy,but the 51 at WGT was posted by a computer geek, nothing more, nothing less. And as someone who was for the most part of my adult life atheletic, even surfing Pipeline and Makaha in Hawaii,it is just not the same beast. So,enjoying this game as I do,and will continue to,realize that it is what it is,algorithms here and not the real life experiance. But I can assure you that the US Open will NEVER be played there again.

Geek or not, we'll never know...but aside from that, you don't need to be a computer whiz to play well here, ...I see some mentioning your scores, your problem most likely isn't your "game", but using Starter Irons and Starter wedges, just no way to really compete at the Master Level, with those clubs.

Do some survey's, watch some videos, take up on some offers, and build some credits up and upgrade your gear.

Lastly, don't fall into the "I can't do it, so they must be xxxxxxx" way of thinking.

Looking quickly again he has plenty of club when he wants, just loaded them again?.

IMO he may well just need to spend some time learning one club / ball combo, not swapping all the time.  Well that's my conclusion looking v briefly, and maybe clutching at scores to explain that degree of what's not happening with all his play.

Now were he to ask either here or in his club.............

You're right Jim, he had  starter Irons and wedges loaded when I checked, but now 85 Nikes and Nike wedges....

Many WGT players are just that good, and have the attitude and expectation that even with VEM they can still score.

What is thisVEM?  Does it stand for:

    Very

    Exciting

    Moment

    cej0:
and all of the sudden ding drives start slicing, off-ding approach shots start hooking in the opposite direction of what they should,

Is it fair to say that if you ding, your vem will be less than if you don't ding? If I ding my drive, I never get severe slicing and/or hooking. Is there any (good) method to reduce it?
