    Ok campers,

To start my tier is TL, so I am not a beginner.  I have played on this site for 3 years now and for the life of me I still don't get the inconsistency.  When putting on champion greens, i realize the breaks are more pronounced, yet what irks and confuses me is the lack of logic.  Example.................On the first hole of St G, hit bad approach shot so I'm 14 feet from pin, 7 dots in the putting lane, first one goes left to right, next 6 go right to left.  I am aware the first dot gets more consideration than the other 6.  So what would you do?  I decide the putt will have a slight break right to left and I give the first dot 2x the calculation.  So what happens?  The putt starts left to right but never even moves right to left at all.  HMMMMMMMMMMM, that defies logical calculation of putt.  So I end game and try again, this time I land about 12 feet from pin with almost exact opposite conditions, so if you use the last condition as a guide you would not think there would be a secondary break since there wasn't one before.  EHHHHHHHHHHH........wrong again, this time it did break.  Now if the program was devised to allow for some consistency, that would not happen, logically thinking.  I can only surmise that logic was abandoned, or that the people who programmed this game have never played it, for if they had I am certain they would have fixed it (I am assuming these people are not complete idiots counter to the perception by other players I know).  If anyone can give me some sort of salient answer to this I would love to hear it.  Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to deal with this and then assume my previous assumption stated in former text is false.

Looking forward to a response from WGT (which by the way has not occured on my other posts except for a profanity laced tirade I had and then i was admonished for my language but still not addressing the issue I had)

It seems to me you have a very good understanding of the situation.

The only way I've found to figure out some of the more recent putting changes is to hit my approaches inside of 3 feet and then smash them in. LOL

Seems you have a grip on the problem, but as you say you'll not get a reply let alone a fix from WGT

    GirnBlanston:
I am aware the first dot gets more consideration than the other 6.

Actually, this is one that has always baffled me. Rule of thumb in real golf with a lengthier putt, is to pretty much ignore the first break as you'll be powering through it.

    GirnBlanston:
Now if the program was devised to allow for some consistency,

Sadly it wasn't. They want you to spend big bucks to trim the VEM a bit. Early on, I'd go for a practice round, and reset the putts by putting back. (no mulligans then) I revisited the routine after spending the bucks for a top putter. Sure enough, there was more consistency.

Chump greens still baffle me. I had a pretty good take on VF and Tourney. (at least until the dots started being erratic)

As you noted and others have agreed, this probably won't happen.

    Good Luck. I hear ya.
