When I opened the site today (about 10 pm Pacific time on July 5) there was an endless loop in the Play Now box. It alternated with a flashing message that read "You have a game in progress. If you continue to log out your game will automatically be saved." I was signed in with the Remember Me function as usual, but I did not have a game in progress. When I moved to the forums, the loop continued to flash. When I closed the site and re-opened, the problem was gone and I was signed in as usual.

Maybe this is a problem for your programmers ... or maybe for Yancey???

This is happening to me too, even though I do not have a game in progress. It is unbelievingly annoying, and a warning, if any players have photosensitive epilepsy, could be a real health hazard.

It seems to happen when you have more than one window open. It's a good idea to add the game client to your favourites then you can get to it that way. Hope that helps.

Same POOP here. It's been going on for over a week. Some days it's impossible to play because the Play Now button won't let you select it. And having more than one window open has Jack POOP to do with it. It does it with just one window open. So, WGT Techies, drop your Red Bulls and licorice whips and get out your Flash Player manuals an figure your bugs out.

So much less will get done without those red bulls and licorice whips.

I use chrome all day and get the flashing play now, I switch to firefox to play, BOOM! no flashing. Play fo' Days.

    Interesting!

No more excuses like "QA's looking at it", We're working on it", "Hope to fix it soon"?

Is this a new type of honesty while solely relying on user's workarounds like changing browser?

BTW: FF is flashing here, albeit only with a second WGT tab open.

    JCSneed:

On a day that you can select it, save the addy to Favourites as I suggested above.

if you had mutliple WGT windows open, the initial window won't flash while the others do.   But, if you close the first window while viewing another one that was opened, it will continue to flash even if it is the only WGT window open.

All you have to do is refresh that window/page and it will be back to normal.   Just figured that out the other day as I open many many windows at work when browsing the forums.

edit,  just did it to verify I wasn't nutz.   Well it worked, but still doesn't help me with the nutz part.  LOL

WGT said there will be no downtime for three weeks, thus no fault fixing.

So,  I should save the last of my small credit savings and continue to do more surveys/videos ( no luck last few days )  so I can hopefully buy a sleeve or two of the new Yellow Nikes?   LOL

Not sure if I can make my one last sleeve of L61's last that long.  Will be using the random single golf balls I have left in inventory,  which are plentiful,  but always scary starting a round with just one ball left lol.
