Looping message flashed at "Play Now" button

  WGT said there will be no downtime for three weeks, thus no fault fixing.

   

  So WGT when you do get around to this issue, here is what is happening to me. IMac / Safari 8.0.7 / Flash NPAPI Plug-in version 18.0.0.194.

  I have a game play window open but I am not in a game and I have my profile window open.  Everything is normal as long as I do not open up any new windows such as my Country Club window, or WGT tournaments, or this forum.  If I do open anything else the "PLAY NOW" area has a seizure and loops wildly saying I have a game in progress, which I do not.  

  You obviously cannot cannot have 2 "GAME" windows open, but you are now confusing "GAME" windows with "NON-GAME" wgt windows.  In the past I could have as many "NON GAME" windows as I like.  Sometimes it is nice to read the forums while an opponent takes the full 90 seconds to make a 3 foot putt.  :-)

  So when you get around to fixing this, please put things back the way they were before they were "improved".

  Again, I repeat,  drop down to just one tabbed WGT window (non game client) and refresh the page if it is still doing the super flash dance.   It will be back to normal and you can click on "play now" as you wish.

  Same happening to me for about a week or so.  I can get to the play page by going through the WGT tournament lists.  But shouldn't have to.  Can live with it for now.  Will wait on the fix.

  hpurey It is funny that sometimes when one thinks they are being completely clear in explaining something people can still miss the point. I guess I was not clear enough.

   

  I have no problem playing the game.  I have a problem having multiple "NON GAME" WGT pages open.  For example, my profile, forums, my CC, the pro shop at the same time.  I like to have multiple "NON GAME" pages open.  There is no reason I shouldn't be able to have multiple "NON GAME" pages open.  Before the update I was able to have multiple "NON GAME" pages open. Now I can't without the crazy flashing ridiculousness in the upper left of the the pages. I would like WGT to fix that.

  How about using two different browsers? Have the game client open in your regular browser and peruse the forum etc with the other, but with flash disabled to combat the flashy thing.
  
  

  Here I have the game going on in Maxthon and, viewing the forum in Chrome, but with flash blocked.

  
  
  

  

  EDIT : Having blocked flash for WGT in Chrome, I've just discovered that I can choose to run flash in the game client in Chrome, but still have it blocked for the rest of WGT and so no annoying flashy bits.  : )
  
  Oh, and in case you're wondering how to open the game client if flash is blocked for the forum, just go to your profile page,
  click on    then on

  Have a play around the flash settings for WGT in your browser TD. If I block flash for WGT in Chrome, I can still enable it in the game client but it continues to block the flashing area in the forum.

  Sorry,  thought you were having troubles clicking the play now due to the rapid flashing. 

   

  I too like to have multiple windows open at the same time while in a game.  I think I'm getting used to the flashing lol.

  So,   we can still have them open,  just can't without the flashing playing.

  nw's.  Perhaps the NSA style flash torture has me on edge.  pretty soon we will be giving up state secrets....
