Why does WGT set the meter for 9 foot putts on 20 feet? It doesn't make sense but it costs me 1 or 2 strokes each round.  Why do they set a short shot out of the rough on "Chip"?  That costs me a stoke or 2 very often.  Why do they set a 30 yard shot on "Pitch"?  I just don't understand why WGT does these things that are so illogical and ridiculous.

They are but I don't see it changing. A pre-shot routine is the only way around them.

Why would the reasons for all this be interesting for you?

OTOH, just check you pre-shot routine. For example, when I come to a 9 foot putt, I know that I must adjust the meter.

A 3 or 4 shot a round quick win beckons, and all for just sacking the caddie.  I would take that:)

From rough, chip doesn't get autoselected.. And pitching is quite common from 30 yds..

All you ave to do is look before you leap & change type of swing & club.

Brilliant answer!!  Wish I'd have thought of that.

While I prefer to Pitch (many more hole outs) over flop in most cases I don't mind the caddie in this situation.  However, At least once every 2 rounds that silly Putter Caddie will change distances after I do some quick peek/dash at another angle.  It's very easy to forget to change it back after you've gone through your original shot process up to the point of the Caddie screwing you ^^.

I for one would love an option to disable the Putter Caddie.  I hate that thing (i know some of my ALT parnters do)! :D

Go to options and turn off the caddy, then even shot option will be up to you!

That would require a 'no scale' view with clickable options to select the correct one. The basic game would have to be re-programmed, won't happen ever.
