okay just left a club where the owner is anal compulsive about these "club points". Really what is the BIG deal on these? Free Putter Pal or Shot Pal? Have you tried using these "gifts" from WGT?  What is the incentive for the average club member to give a rats *** about them? The club gets a few members THE OWNER doesn't have to pay for, or a couple extra "club officers" . Not enough to explain the owners obsession with these points. Looking through the clubs,(and am probably shooting myself in the foot here), seeking members many make using this free pass a RULE for the club.l So I wonder, what are the owners getting back from WGT that club members don't know about? Please enlighten me so I'll understand because I don't see the big deal on these points.

Getting nothing back and im usually on here with my own advert stating i dont give a damn about having loads of members if they dont join in club comps and forum....XP building before club activity...no chance IMO. Booted loads of XP builders who didnt even have the courtesy to come onto our forum or play a single comp we run.

Saying that being asked to use free pass aint a crime BUT never ever buy one.

    ;-)

As a club member you get a free Club pass everyday  so why not use it ? Personaly l view it as a way of showing  loyalty and thanks to the club after all people work hard running them And the club l have recently joined do not make demands from their members.

Why wouldn't you use your free pass?  Laughable to think people pay for them (and boy, do they!) but why not help your club out and use the free pass when you're playing your "consecutive day streak" round?

You guys misunderstand, I don't have a problem using the free pass. What i don't get are owners that "ride" their members because they are not earning  'enough' points for the club with their pass and are belittled for it. If you use for 9 holes or on a CTTH that's wrong you should always use it for 18 holes, etc.. If you don't do it RIGHT you'll be kicked out of the club, etc..That's wrong. To some these points are becoming an obsession.

Vanity.  I assume.  FR sent.  We're always looking for members.  Tough group and little to none of the Red Tee special or unlimited events.

very easy way to make lots of points for your club with minimal time required, play one practise hole everyday just takes a minute to do that if time is an issue, after a week you will be adding approx 990 points per day to your club  with minimum effort.:-

Read the replies as well................Just leave and join a club that suits - easy.

Fair enough to ask people to usually remember to click yes to use a free pass, and those that play most days  usually turn in at least the 880 CDP XP, but after that the majority could not give a crap / do not care about more...Why WGT capped the XP levels effectively because they could not persuade enough to give a crap.  Would have thought obvious to start with but New Ideas central exist on a different wavelength until some one explains to stop being silly again.............

These - Putter Pal TBH - are the only real benefits of the CC levels, IMHO. Coming with level 4 IIRC.

Add potential member numbers for small CCs - not my problem, we were @250 when this started.

One rationale may be the community - get XPs together, play games together.

OTOH, the whole system of CC XPs and CC passes is a very efficient "grind" system to bring players to spend a fortune for senseless goals because it's for the CCommunity. It may become a real hype with the Golden Calf - ehm, Putter as the ultimate goal - another useless item.

Those who put their main & anal focus on it are special people IMHO. Either they follow secret goals which are difficult to understand, or they are plain dumb to be caught by company goals so easily.

As others said, if you don't see yourself in the XP chase, just change your CC.

I know in my case as an owner, the only thing I get is to live here as I do in my real life...everything under control...mine. I choose where, and how, and how long, and set it up the way I please, to cater to my fancy. I am no longer interested playing anywhere that is set up by the unknown WGT hired help to suit their fancy...thank you no. I never turn down a request for membership and I couldn't care less if they are new, have no game, don't play, don't add points; don't do anything...I don't care. If any member has their own idea of something or somewhere or particular conditions -- boom -- consider it done. For me it is all about freedom...not control or directives. Other than that, nothing is hidden or unknown.   ~ Lily ~
