Hey, Sean, Hope you can figure things out. It won't be the same without you "movin' on up". Congrats on making lvl 100 when you get there. Quite an achievement, very well done.

I don't know what the answer is about the lvl 33 Callys. I know you have them mapped out to the inch. I got a free sleeve of the lvl 39s when I joined WGT Nation last week. They seem to be pretty consistent, but I haven't used them a lot yet.

You could probably interpolate from your data after hitting some test shots and figure them out. It's sad that it comes to this, I know. But they worked for me, in limited usage. Of course, I play at a far different lvl than you. You, Sir play a game here that I'm not familiar with, as a great man once said.

I have a few of the Hex Chrome lvl 37 Vapors left. It was my favorite ball, as it was soooo consistent. Doubt if I'll try the Chrome softs until things are "better".

I've been using the lvl 61 Nike as my tournament and AS ball. And on those days that I need that slower meter. Its pretty consistent, if pricey. Sorry I don't have anything better to add to this. Good luck in getting the mess sorted out.

Won't read all the tech stuff as would be none the wiser here.  I can say everything simply works like a charm here. APART from the flash issue every so many games. Not sure how many it takes but it's new.

Here that seems to either manifest itself as a white out OR my meter suddenly releasing early.  Cost me a couple of WDs that meter (bug reports sent etc).  Carefully exiting out and clearing the usual every 27 or so holes, and then back in keeps it all smooth as.

Now I know it's no huge one, but obviously can't be right either.

JFYII have no special anything.  Fairly straight up good OK laptop I use for this game, but way below anything aimed at gaming.

It's actually nothing more than a cheezy XP bypass which lives in a "grey area" but doesn't violate ToS (as it's currently written).

The reason I'm even bringing this up is because I don't deserve any special words or encouragement for "said accomplishment".  So thanks for the cheers but trust me when I say it was no hard work ;).

    @ Jim

Thanks for the help again.  When I get access to those Nike 100s I'l lbe tempted to get them right away but with my inability to get any kind of steady meter I'm very hesitant.  Since WGT has messed up my 33's real good it looks like I'll be forced to do exactly what WGT had in mind (I'm sure).

I'll have to upgrade to a more expensive ball with a slower meter.  I don't know of any other way that I can hope to hit a decent shot with things as they are (aside from WGT fixing stuff, GL).

Sigh, I really don't want to play those damn MaxMeterSlowTourPro+ ugly balls.  Surveys and ReadyGos pay for balls no problem (as well as equpiment) so cost isn't the issue.  Aside from the Meter the rest of the balls attributes just don't excite me.

So what?  Just give up the game?  Wait a month?  WGT fix it soon?  Break down and play slow meter balls?  LoL.  FU WGT haha ;)

Oddly enough, what makes those Vapors so nice is that they forgive more than the lower level ones. This could/should work in your favor.

Something to ponder on the balls.... It has always been my impression that the slower meter balls have more problems with meters than do the faster ones. Maybe the meter has more time to foul up or whatever WGT is doing to slow it down gets in the way, IDK. I have always gone for a faster meter ball myself. Maybe don't go to a slower ball?

Also, and this might sound a little farfetched but its verifiable, the way you look at the meter can cause the illusion that the meter jerks. I can make it happen on my smooth meter simply by trying to follow the moving line in the meter. If your eyes aren't moving exactly the same speed as the moving line it will appear to stutter. I get around this by not moving my eyes, focusing on the ding line instead and using peripheral vision. Worth a try.  :-)

Is it an illusion or is it real.  I tried it on both meter simulations and sometimes it looked stuttery and sometimes smooth.  Try it on the sims.

I did when you first posted them. And even if it is just an illusion, you're clicking based on what your eye sees and brain perceives. I can make that stutter happen in a regular game with the real meter. In fact, I still do, inadvertently, but that's where the "let it go" discipline takes over. Or should. LOL

I originally discovered this in something you posted a few years ago. The discussion was about Flash rendering or frame rates, something like that. All I remember was you had a moving line going across the screen (meter style but not a meter) and I think you were demonstrating something but can't remember what it was. I'm sure you do.  :-)

It was demonstrating a 30fps meter using a gif animation.  Because it was a gif the stutter was real and would occur every time we followed the leading edge.

    Yes, that's the one.
