    YankeeJim:

IMO you're choice of browser has very little to do with bad meters.  It's all on WGT

Not even close on that one, bud.  ;-)

Jim....Please...Your a business man , and if this type of (and I stress) "Continuous  decline in quality"  was presently happening within your company , I could only imagine being on the recieving end of it.

I myself know what your talking about concerning "our" responsibilities on "our" end. We've been here a long time and we've learned to keep that stable base on "our" end. OK...Not going into all the details but your talking to someone who "gets it" and has for a long time..(as far as browser , meter , flash , personal maintainence, etc.)

Now that we're on the same page...How , and why are you defending such poor , very poor quality ?

I myself have many times defended WGT knowing that the prob.'s some people were complaining about were on them (The player)...and I knew it was. Had been there , done that. Many had posted the correct way/ways of going about it. Most didn't listen when it was laid right infront of them.

However , for NOT being on site , on top of the game , genuinely concerned about consumer/customer enthusiasm toward a given product (  kitchen and bathroom cabinetry  to full blown "turn key" homes and everything inbetween including golf balls and WGT) is an upper management failure and doesn't only need to be addressed , but should have already been addressed several months ago !

Any successful competent business owner is going to tell you the same thing including yourself Jim !

I anticipate your reply , because this is and has been a serious decline in quality control for quite a while , and for it to be related to the industry that I love so dearly , it's even more sickening to me.

Edit : Yes , your original is correct Jim , he is wrong , I'm talking to you about the issue as a whole , I guess I didn't address that browser thing cause , you know ,  I'm talking to a veteran here and we both knew he was wrong about that and so I kinda' went directly into the issue at hand ... lol ...I know you understand....lol

    DAZZA501:

On the upside i do like the new massive pins at conga :-)

Dazza, hard to tell from the screenshot, but it appears that CCC has been claimed by the Federal Republic of Somalia.

It is amazing the many ways WGT is able to ruin the game with one update.  Graphics tremble and vibrate all the time since the update (I believe it is fear induced by my computer as it is terrified of another "update" by WGT).  My average went up 3 strokes when the update came out.  I guess my suggestion would be not to worry about other tiers until you hire competent people to update the program.  I am beginning to think that this site is administered by the US government, yup the one that got 2.2 million government  personnel files hacked by Chinese.  The same competence level is evident here.

If you want us to keep spending our hard earned dollars or whatever monetarty denomination is used, then maybe, just maybe you should earn your keep.  Lord knows you haven't so far.

Prediction of response by WGT; "We are aware of the problems and are working towards repairing it".  It has become one of the great lies similar to "the check is in the mail" and well you know the others.

...as in , you are able to actually reverse view for an overhead view upon an approach? Is that what your saying ?

    an upper management failure

Well Ace, nice work, nutted on the sweet-spot. Issues, broken this, brand new unwanted that, on and on and on....If it were my company, I would be embarrassed and ashamed...If I were MrWGT, I sure as hell wouldn't let anyone know it. Things have gone so far out of whack, that no one even bothers to find out what is up with Pebble Beach anymore  Sad.

The trouble with Chrome and Firefox is how they use plug-ins, both have a built in adobe flash that has been known to conflict with the more recent versions of adobe flash, both the built in and the downloaded will, for lack of a better way to say it, fight to dominate causing crashes, and or slow loads for some. The only problem I have ever had with Maxthon is if the internet connection is to slow and I mean really slow. I travel for work and one area I work in has this problem.

    Sad.
I'm very , very patient. I understand set backs (believe me) , I understand prob.'s , glitches , unforced errors , the list goes on and on , ok ,  I get it , but I have seen this before. When it reaches this point , someone had better (get a handle on it being a major understatement) like , yesterday !!!

Edit : ...or just pack it up and pack it in !

Well I didn't say or even suggest my choice of browser managed to magically replace the camera views that WGT have taken away. Would that it had.

I was just disputing the view that the browser someone uses makes no difference to the quality of the gameplay experience, meter included. When I used Maxthon right after the last downtime I had interruptions in the video flow of a second or two and the meter was wobbly, but since I switched it hasn't happened again. Of course the camera view issues remain.

Everyone's experience is different. There have been angry screams about problems with the meter on this forum ever since I joined five years ago (and probably longer than that) and there have also been people on here in all that time who have calmy said that they have never had any problems with the meter. I'm not one of the latter.

Heaven knows these poisoned updates WGT keeps releasing are a frustration and seem to cause more problems than they fix of late, but to suggest all problems with gameplay or even just the meter are caused by WGT simply isn't correct.

There may be some serious truth to this statement regarding Chrome and Firefox and perhaps many more browsers. I had stutters, stops (the worst) and who knows what with the above browsers, and in fact Maxthon, Internet Explorer, Modzilla and Opera, to name a few. Then someone recommended Comodo Dragon and for reasons only the software gods know, everything has been going smoothly with the meter for at least 6 months. Only mistakes with the meter are my own.

A lot may depend on how it interfaces with your computer and how it interfaces with the browser, so I recommend only that players should try as many as they can find and pick the one that works for them.

Trial and error slowly or quickly eliminates what works and what doesn't. If nothing works, maybe a new computer or upgrade or find another game and give this one up for lost.

Now, if we can just get that approach camera angle back, the fun just might return.
