  THE CHRISTMAS CC CHALLENGE 2015

   

  Hello all

  Welcome to round 8 of 11 rounds

  God  this is turning into an epic lol

  Im still trying to get that elusive 100% games played,close this time

  Ive had a few messages about waiting for the player to turn green and inviting them

  Thats not the way to do it.

  Send them a message and arrange a time and day suitable for the both of you

  Common sense really.

  Captains keep sending me your weekly reports please

   

   

  Round 8

   

  strokeplay 18 holes

  chambers bay   ranked/scored

  one of the newer courses ,this is a really tough course uphill,downhill, the greens are really tough to putt on

  the par3s on probably the toughest on wgt courses

  Play starts   16th nov and must be completed by 30^th  nov

   

  Anyone with a +3  by their name must add the strokes to their final score

  Anyone with a +5 by their name must  add the strokes to their final score

  
  

  This is our big grudge match  villains v rams,this is the one i want most to win

  This will last forever lol

  
  

  Big match up the top with SEL A v nosorrys,the top two teams and nosorrys are just getting better and better,could do with them winning this one or SEL A will run away with it.

   

  I will update tables on Tuesday,any games not completed by midnight Monday 30th  will be a draw.

  Kicked of Round 8 for the team at a windy Chambers against PJBall from No Sorry United.
  
  Chambers I struggle to score low from the back tees and looking at my oppo's stats I knew Id be in for a game. 
  
  We made the turn at -5 each. On the 11th Paul lipped a birdie that defied logic. Then he hit his tee shot on 12 within 5ft for a eagle to take the lead -7 -6. I hit a streak of form on 12-16, making 4 birds in a row to lead -9 -7 going to the money holes. On the Par 3 17th I hit my tee shot in the rough and Paul almost holed his. Had to watch it twice too. lol After the 2nd shots on the 18th, it was the first time I felt I had the match in the bag. He was very unlucky, as his shot crept into the bunker. I birdied the last to end the match 61-63.
  
  A great game, one of the closest Ive had. Very well played Paul and hope to meet up soon again.

  hello all

  here is the updated table after round 7

  SEL A  have extended their lead at the top after steam rolling over their B team.

  can anyone stop them,hopefully nosrorrys might give them a game and they still have to play three of the top five clubs so they have really have had  the easy draw yeah!!!.

  NQHP1 takes second spot after demolishing their 3rd team,

  this comp aint over yet,with lots of points still on offer,

  the bottom half has not changed at all.

  the gap between the top six and bottom six has widened a bit,we are having our own little league lol..

  keep those reports coming in captains

  The captain brings home the bacon or, as we are the Rams, should that be the mutton lol.

  I played conservatively having 16 pars and 2 bogeys. Whereas, Neil had a few bogeys and 2 double bogeys, which really was the difference.

  binkybaxter RAMS 61 v Paulfinn VILLAINS 63

  i started slow bogey par and gave finny a 2 shot lead, my eagle on the 4th halved the deficit+sprung me in2 life, birds 6-10 saw me get 2up and wen finny bogied 11 it was 3up...

  we shared holes in a scrappy run 2 the wire 3up 2up 3up 2up but the fat lady was in full voice when i birdied the 17th,, finny made it respectable with a bird on the last.

  fine game Paul keep up the good work.
