  I am a firm believer that wgt has plants and phony members (ie-they just plug in scores for phantom members) it allows them to NOT give out many many credits.

  The bloke is a mod - works for WGT, does not play for credits etc etc..........He may also just be testing .........Just wrong tree up woofin' that one.

  Benefits wise 250 credits is a bit stingy IMO though.

  I don't think they have thought it through.  The people that will mostly care about the next tier are badge chasers.  Trouble is many badge chasers all really care about their average and they don't know what awaits. Now some (like me) could bang round andys front 9 and get there real quick with starter balls - not really the idea but I could.

  Some (it seems) will get there off the reds - and get the badge.

  Not saying all red tee people are bad players, but by golly some are crap, TL or not.

  I think WGT put him there to test the new tier, see if any bugs are in it, etc.

   

  Now if anyone has played with Iconian, or watched him play, you'd know he's still a top player here, regardless of his "Average".

  any TL's with that many rounds has learned alot along the way. i got schooled by you and all the top money players that played on WGTLS alt shots when i just got at legend and learned alot to get me where iam at now. i focus on my members in CC by passing on what i have learned and only play alt shot every once in awhile anymore. just got bored with the whole game other then helping lower level players which is probably why i'm bald. lol

  i guess we have to sit back and see where this goes from here, the monthly leader board will tell all shortly.

  All its going to do is create a big elitist clique, those who feel superior because they have been selected to join the tour champion tier who can look down their noses at the mortals who jump through hoops trying to achieve the same status...When its never going to happen.  Tour legend will contain the players who have ALWAYS kissed WGT's a55.  never complained when they've broken the game after every update.  Of course there's some excellent players here who trully deserve being elite, and also players who have helped others with their game, these too desrve to be there, but I will tell you one thing, I will not be a "chosen one" one of the "haves"  I will be one of those rejects, discarded from any hope of promotion, please, give me a rope now with a noose, there's no future for me.

  Want to make a couple things clear....

  Icon was moved for a couple different reasons.  He is a Mod and we need someone to test out the new tier on Live.  We could of made a player and pushed them up, but this way everyone knows who it is.  Quite frankly if he was still able to play for credits and tournaments he would most likely be one of the first invited to become a Tour Champion.  So people need to just relax and calm down.

  As to what the new tier offers, for now it is just prestige.  In the future we may add some other benefits but for now it is all about joining an exclusive new tier.

    You're a gr8 guy Shoe, but unfortunately you work for the equivalent of a band of gypsy's. Whether or not Icon is deserving of the promotion isn't the point, but if I may, all we want is a playable game without all the bells and whistles. You as well as anyone knows the amount of time, effort, and money most have put into this once gr8 game, and whomever is pulling the puppet strings have turned it into a pile of steaming chite.

  Let the people vent without a lame excuse like that, and we'll all understand when no one responds, just like in the past.

  To me, a moot promise:

  Benefits have been missing for about a year now for CC levels 14, 17, 18, 19.

  A CC bank has been promised but never appeared.

  Pebble Beach 18 holes has been promised and postponed.

   

  You (the company) are WGT, hope is futile.
