    alosso:
The first entry leaves open if Champion is a prerequisite.

Never saturating would be plus as it would be for T Champ I guess.

Why the company is so unwilling to share that possible positive is beyond me - if it is indeed the case of course.  Anyway that is their way it seems, wrong as I might find it.  A little more openness would go an awful long way, but blood out of a stone there in secret squirrel land........

Fair questions.  Time will tell but surely WGT thought about this before throwing the new tiers out there.

If we don't see Champion specific tourney's next week, I would venture to say "they haven't thought about it."

However, if adding a new set of tiered tourneys means a downtimegrade, please let the Champions play in the TL tourneys. Just changing the name and characteristics of 2 balls and adding 2 tiers almost destroyed the game.

    Wontonamo:

im not sure they know what to do with it.

look at everything else that was brought out half assed and completely abandoned.

cc clashes (lol), monthly interviews with wgters, wgt nation, cc functions, focus boosts, etc etc etc etc etc

Clashes!!! I wish they would bring the CC Clashes back :-(

    kersh1976:

I think being a champion means, you are good at playing pointless CC tournies over and over and over again. Spend your 250 credits wisely Chumps.

LOL. And here I am thinking of setting up some "Lower Your Average" CC tourneys. Being able to achieve such an "elite" status that way does make the new tier a farce.

The TC tier, being "invite only" is an even bigger farce. Favoritism? $$? No mention of the requirements needed to get invited.

And, who does the inviting? A group? A mod? MrWGT? Or the same program that does the drawing for the monthly CTTH sweeps (which I've yet to come across anyone who has won the drawing).

Will just the buddies and brown-nosers get invited? Will those of us who voice our displeasure whenever the need arises be black-listed?

Don't read into this that I want/wish to be a TC. I guarantee 10000% I don't care (being "invite only" makes me not want any part of it).

Nor do I care about being a Champion, if it's just a title. If it's a legitimate new tier, I hope to make it and compete in it.

I put it in italics to indicate my sarcasm.  We both know WGT thinks of little.

It seems to me there were a LOT more Legends when WGT created the "Tour Legend" tier, as compared to now- the number of Tour Legends who are eligible to become Champions...and it made sense back then for another tier, as Legends had become "a dime a dozen"- which I do not believe we can presently say about TL's?

Yep. That will be evident in about 4 1/2 hours when the new week's tourney's come out.

If the two champions play in the TL weeklies, then I think it's only fair to allow us lower-talented TL's (No, ANY and ALL TL'S!!) to play in Legend weeklies. It's not fair that I have to compete with serious gamers and cheats, but now champions, too!!!

Can't wait to see the year end VT champion's tier champion.

This is sarcasm, too, for those who chime in and don't have a clue ;-)

Not enough players for them to justify creating new weeklys though, Dubya.  We gotta give them a couple of weeks atleast.  Events pay to top 70, right?  We have two champions and only one of them is a player anyway.

I will definitely not be rushing out to reach the new chump tier...NO WAY!  When i was a legend I was able to play matchplay challenge matches (my favourite part of WGT) all day long no problems what so ever in finding opponents and I was able to boost my credits as well.  SInce WGT intoduced the tour legend tier its virtualy impossible to find a opponent to play against randomly, as soon as some one sees you are a tour legend they kick you out of the game (even some tour legends).  It seems every one wants a easy match instead of a CHALLENGE.  Imagine what it will be like when you get relegated to the chump tier.  No way will you find a game, ready go's will take days to fill up.  I think it might be a clever ploy from wgt to limit the amount of credits players can make because since joining tour legend and having to buy expensive balls just to compete my credits dont seem to go up at all.

But WGT know how we all work.  All they need to do is bring out a new ball or driver/putter with half a dot extra somewhere in attributes then whats available at present and you will have a flood of players jumping on the red tee bandwagon to get to chump tier as soon as their little ding finger can get them there
