Well thank you very much WGT! This is a warning to all newcomers out there.

Not only is this game so god damned good / addictive that you end up buying decent clubs & balls, Its only gone and got me playing the real game now!

DO you know how much that’s costs!!!

First shock was the clubs I bought in WGT can’t be used on a real gold course, or the balls! Well that was a shock and cost me a fortune, then the club im in with WGT doesn’t have a Couse I can play in my area (IE in reality) so I end up joining one of those and now GET this! I needed to pay for lessons because the limited skills I got on WGT don’t seem to transfer into real life, I can’t see a stop swing button anywhere !

So please tread with care in this highly addictive, excellent game. It might cost you more than you think

Don't feel bad, I bought a brand new set of irons back in February with a little change from what was left from my tax return. And still have not been able to lay a real round yet. Still have the bubble wrap on most of them. Pitched a couple late at night 2-3 times after work outside my apartment...lol

Just saying if you truly need help, they can help!  And would make for great tv and free advertising for WGT.

Actually real golf doesn't have to cost a lot. I have 2 sets of Clubs that i use now.

A Taylor Made set and a Callaway Big Bertha set. Both bought at our local Goodwill for $27.00 total. The Cobra driver that I had before I got those 2 sets costs 10 times those 2 sets did. And about 2 months ago I finally found a true 1 iron again. A Taylor Made Tour Preferred T-D from the mid 1990's a super club that only cost $1.00.

I play our Local par 3 course for $ 10 for all day and the 11th round is free, So that is all reasonable and the balls are fairly cheap as well. You can always find good quality recycled balls at Wal-Mart for around $10 a dozen and with my 10% employee discount that drops the price to $9.00 a dozen and last spring I got a Dozen new Taylor Made Lethals at close out for $20.

Yeah, you can find some good deals at the local thrift shops and bargain stores. I purchased a phil mickelson  Titleist 731 PM iron set at a garage sale for $40.00 and the guy threw in 3 extra clubs for free. They are missing the lower irons but not bad for the price. And in February I got a brand new custom set from Gigagolf for $120.00 which look like callaways. And only $12.95 shipping no matter how many clubs you purchase. Walmart has great deals on new golf balls as well. A 12 pack of yellow Wilson balls are only $5.97 if you want to keep the cost of playing down.
