Stop gifting us low grade balls

  WGT, you  give me balls from time to time but I will not thank you. You give me the cheap stuff. I have no use for them because the balls I use normally are better than the stuff you give. So they just clutter up my inventory list. A bunch of single balls with various gimmicky characters but without distance, without spin...

  Why? The balls are virtual, there are no difference in cost for you. In fact, there are no cost at all involved. You might argue that if you give me a ball I have use for, that is a ball I do not have to buy. You might be right, but that is usually the idea of a gift. To give something that are received with gratitude.

  But if you want the gift to affect your revenue in a positive way, why don't you try the complete opposite approach and gift the best ball in the game? Then we try it and go "wow, I love this ball" and buy it. It could happen. Or it might lead to stepping up a bit from what we are using, maybe from a 250cr to a 350cr. That would be dollars for you.

  There are no dollars for you in insulting us with gifts we have no use for.
  
  If you would like to just be nice, without any hidden agenda, then give us the same type we are using. Check our bag and give us what's in there. Actually, that might benefit you the most because it might make people decide to use a more expensive ball in order to get a more expensive gift.

  I like all the free balls. They are fun to play even if not the best balls and if you do not want them cluttering up your inventory then just toss them. The hearts balls are great on Valentines day btw.

  I don't use the free balls, but there is a handy little X in the inventory now where you can just remove it if needed.  Hardly a drama.

  Like the idea of gifting a good ball though.  Doesn't take long to use up and would probably tempt enough into buying more to make it worthwhile to WGT.

  Well get rid of them, easy enough to do so now, just go to your inventory and X them out.

  Not that they weigh your bag down, so I do not see a valid reason to complain.

  To difficult IMO. Also perhaps you can elaborate how this would make players use more expensive balls? A gift of one ball every blue moon would not be an incentive.

  I see marketing is not your strong point.

  A gift is a gift, use it or bin it, that is your choice but I see no point in being resentful by calling it an insult.

  WGT do not owe us anything, they have no obligation to give us free stuff. Yes it is a business and so will try to coax us in buying more, but it is not harm to any of us having one more ball. 

  Personally I would rather see some sort of loyalty program or bulk buying incentives, but there is nothing wrong with a freebie.

  I didn't complain last free club rental weekend - I did not take up the offer as I did not need new clubs.....same difference in the free ball.

  WGT, rather give us correct connections and keep your balls that anyway we can not play off line.

  Like many, I have a decent collection of gifted promo balls. They are all appreciated and reflect a nice gesture. If I were to engage in it as WGT does, I would focus upon gifting balls of different attributes that are a cut above the norm so as to showcase possible alternatives that could improve ball sales. Gifts are nice. A Timex works but a Rolex demands more appreciation.

  The idea of gifting the high end golf balls makes more sense though.  Never know, someone who is using the L71 nike just may switch to a more expensive Nike ball after trying a free one.  

  Like a drug deal,  first one's free.  ;-)  

  I just prefer my drugs to be yellow.  LOL
