    Hi JudeTheDragon,

First of all, welcome! I would suggest starting with checking out the Help/FAQ section which also has some tutorials here. There is also a bunch of useful information on the forums. If all else fails and you have a question, post it up! Community tends to be very willing to help. :)

    All the Best,

Here is a web site you can use.( http://shortgrass123.wix.com/pinhunters) lots of good stuff. My best advise would be don't buy balls but save your credits to buy a good set of clubs and learn to track them with a consistent ball, you read the advance tips on pinhunters it will help you to advance quickly

    Good Luck

I'm also very confused.  As to how someone hits a 37 on Best of Par 4, including an eagle, on their very first day.

    Not bad going.

LOL MM.....so true...and they have a Cally ball to boot. Why do I get the feeling a "friend" invited a "friend" himself.

A dime a dozen yet WGT aids this behaviour.

    Very harsh gentlemen.

If you look at that competition (single play I might add LOL) you will note the leader shot a 31, and has also only been here a week

In fairness to the leader it was their 3rd round, and therefore good steady learning from their first round - only 62 at Kiawah.

Could just be one v tough tough time to be a noob with all these talents floating in, and that's only the ones to dumb to conceal it make it not so bleedin' obvious:)

I remember when I first signed up.  I played a few rounds of CTTH, failed to hit a single green and decided it was a stupid game, way too hard to be at all realistic.

A few weeks later I tried again, bearing in mind my first few, more than few if I'm honest, rounds of real golf.  I learned how to play the game, to be happy with a round with 3 or 4 pars in it.  Gradually the birdies started to become more regular, only 1 every few rounds at first but enough to give me hope.  From then on I was addicted, still am in fact, even if I play less these days.  I can't bring myself to walk away from here, it's just too good a game.

I utterly fail to see the thrill people get from starting a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 75th or whatever account and beating the genuine new players.  Way to go, that must make you really feel like a super hero eh?  The sad thing is they're putting off those new players who see the sort of scores they're up against and give up.  They see no hope of ever being able to shoot those scores so just go elsewhere, taking their PayPal accounts with them.

Shame on you WGT for not being more active in dealing with these bottom feeders.  Especially when they're dumb enough to come to the forums and shine a spotlight on themselves.

Kinda like WGT do with the community spotlight.

Well I looked up this player under WGT community - players and the name did not come up, so I would say WGT has disabled the account, or at least suspended it, so props to them on that front.

Whilst it is reactionary rather than being proactive, it is better than nothing.

But as MM says, this will put genuine new players off. I saw this when I joined, and vowed never to gamble on what appeared an unregulated gambling site.

So in this case, the player still stands on the leaderboard and no doubt the earnings go into a consolidated fund, or to the player who's credits end up in a consolidated fund....WGT.

So poor Joe Blogs, the genuine newbie misses out on their fair cut....and we wonder why WGT are only proactive and the newbies leave.

As for scoring, I too was shocking when I started, especially on putting and the short game. There is no way a genuine newbie can master this so early. Crickey, I still suck at the game.
