twinponds169: ... but I must say that I, and probably many others, take offense to being called a clown and crying children.
Truth hurts. I prefer mine non sugar-coated and with no nerf padding. For the record, I didn't call you or anyone out by name because I don't need to. Those people are capable of identifying themselves simply because they have a conscious. They can put on whatever facade they want, because only they know how sad they themselves truly are.
Simply put, stating a negative opinion does not make you a clown or a child. Acting like a clown, idiot, imbecile or child when you state that opinion, however, does.
You are correct though. I rarely play multiplayer games nowadays. I did plenty of my share back in the day. However, the same thing holds true now as it was then. I don't have connection problems when I play (unless the site is down). Eight years, no serious problems. That must make me special, right? Hardly.
(now speaking to no one in particular)
Do I get the boot once or twice in a blood moon eclipse? Of course. That's going to happen no matter what on the internet. But no, I don't seem to have those constant, nagging, connection problems that supposedly "plague" the game. I just run into people that do. Therefore, I am to conclude it is the people who are the problem much more often than not. The have been plenty of times when WGT actually does goof something up. I've had the good fortune to witness quite a few damn fine blunders along the way, which I quite frankly find hilarious in a good way. But I've also watched them fix those blunders pretty quickly every time.
I would say that expecting an overnight/1-month fix for something that has been a 'complaint' for years only tells me that one, your expectations are outrageously enormous, and two, the complaint likely isn't real. It's perceived. It's not real. I'll say that again. It's NOT real.
I can guarantee you that if you took four people who have "connection problems", formatted all their pcs, installed a base copy of an O/S, downloaded Firefox/Chrome ONLY and NOTHING else that those 4 people would be suddenly be miraculously cured of their problems. I suppose people fall for click-bait ScanWarez because everyone's computer runs at maximum efficiency all the time? Does anyone really believe this?
<snark>
I've never heard people complaining about slow PCs and bad internet connections.

So given that we know WGT can fix the slew of other real multiplayer issues we've seen in the past, but for some reason can't fix this one. What does that tell us? Certainly WGT knows that multiplayer can be a frustrating experience for some, and has probably lost them a few customers. That must be tough for them, because they also know there isn't a damn thing they can do to fix the people who play the game.
Go to any game forum forum. Find all the disconnection complaints. The ONLY thing common is the people. "Connection Problems" will be a part of this and every game as long as people are a part of this and every game. So, when you carry the 1, it works out to about forever.
But please, continue yelling, screaming, whining, crying and complaining. Continue defending those engaging in it. Also make sure you never say thanks when they do fix stuff. You know. Important to maintain the character's integrity and whatnot.
If you're not guilty of behaving like this then you already know I'm not talking to you, and good day to you sir/madam. If you are guilty, well then maybe you should focus a little more on you and less on me. The only people left are the ones who are too stupid to know they should be guilty, and frankly, god help them.
Either way, I don't care what anyone thinks of me, or what fun names anyone might think to call me (though you could really do a lot better than hiney-kisser, so you fail sir). It's not about me. However, I am quite comfortable with who I am and how I conduct myself. Can you honestly say the same?
Off topic now, but for those interested in such things, clubs and balls are just templates. One master template file, tweak a few settings, name, assign some variables, SAVE AS.... voila. Brand new ball or club. Have the computer hit a few hundred thousand test shots and wham, new merchandise to sell. Please stop with the, "but you wasted all that time coming out with balls/clubs!" comments. It's like 10 or 15 minutes of someone's time who isn't a developer. The manufacturers provide the data for the balls/clubs from their own testing, and WGT just pops that data into their system and out comes a new sub-template, more or less.
Remember folks. It's easy to be a bad person. It's quite difficult not to be. Why not try to do something that's difficult today?
Still a good update.
