    WGTicon:

    • Now you have the ability to lock and unlock the putting grid when you’re on the green or the fringe.
    • Unlock the grid to move it around the surfaces and better read lies.
    • Lock the grid to keep it in one place, but still have the ability to move the aimer.

A nice addition and one I thought I would use as I'm always switching back and forth from chip view on the putts.  What the chip view has which this new feature does not is the ability to reset the putting dots on each click, something that matters more than expected as it turns out.

So, nice try but I'm as I was.

Found one issue addressed in this update: In the notebook, new paragraphs are possible again, hitting the enter key does not close the notebook anymore.

    Woohoo!

  • Ah, so here I was all excited to use this but it has a fundamental flaw.  You can't "reset" the grid. The dot reads are only good for a second or two, but then they are distributed all haphazardly due to the varying speeds.  This makes it harder to read the putt.

Take out your wedge, line up your put, let go of the mouse (grid goes away) and click it again (grid comes back) after a second.  Notice how the break dots reset to the middle of the squares?  This little bit is crucial for reading and re-reading a specific section of green.

Please implement a "dot reset" button on the upper-left of the distance box similar to the lock grid button.  Clicking it would reset the dots similar to the way turning the grid on and off with the pitch shot does.

    Thanks

the dots are easily reset by using the four arrows at bottom right screen. simply click to see the dots vertical movement and immediately back to reset, takes only a moment

Flashing Ball – Fixed a display issue showing a “flashing” golf ball while players tried to reconnect during a multiplayer game

Funny, I saw this for the first time a couple of days ago, but was in a solo game and after the white screen. Well the game crashed again before I could hit, so could neither send a bug report or take a screen shot.

These frequent crashes are becoming infuriating - perhaps the flashing ball is meant to distract us?

It's like a Demolition Derby now...play one hole <crash> reload game client, play second hole <crash> reload game client, etc.
