The padlock is only a easy way for us to use chip view whilst putting** without having to change from putting to chip. Its a good idea, but only a remix of what we have all ready.
**As most of us know the chip view is the more acurate view whilst putting.
Its really the positioning of it. Should really have been added beside putter pal for quick access. Last thing u needed is to make the aim marker even bigger than it already is.
Btw this feature of moving grid with the putter was already present if u clicked on one of those alternate putting views.

Thats what i mentioned above. Its just a easy way to use chip view whilst still having putter in hand. Same thing as before only wrapped up different

He's not talking about that. With the multiple views on the greens, clicking the left or right arrow unlocks the grid.
