    fatdan:
I was saturated at TL, they added the new tiers and 200 rounds and raised my average from 56.59 to 57.49...

The raise was caused by the deletion of your best 300 RRs, 200 left in the mix.

    fatdan:
now i don't know how their doing this but I only have about 100 - 110 RR's of the 200 needed and my avg goes down .01 if I shoot a 30...if I shoot a 26 -27 it goes down .04 now, it was dropping like .07 with a 26 for awhile.......

The total no. of your scores will be around 300-310 now, thus the average drops more than before.

Dumb question here:- has the 500 rounds for legend saturation gone, and is it only 200 rounds post update to achieve saturation, and if average is 59 or below u become Champion?

    Not a bad question.

As was previously said, once your Ave stopped going up then you are saturated and the 200 R/rounds to Champs kicked in regardless if you already played the 500 or not.

I'm just thinking out aloud here now ...lol

So would it right in saying when the new Champ Tier came in, everybody that was TL at the time was automatically saturated and the 200 ranked rounds then kicked in for Champs.

What happens now for Legends that are going to be promoted to TL,  will they have to play 500 ranked rounds for saturation then get promoted to Champs when they reach the Ave of 59.

Are all courses classed as a ranked round (if you are in that game mode), I know the Par3/5 courses don't affect your average, but are they still a ranked round.

Are the Ctth's classed as a ranked round

    Just curious

Once I find the tipping point I`ll let players know or at least have a better idea as to what it takes for the tier up

The need to play 200 ranked rounds since the update is known, when you play the 200th you will be promoted.  What you will know from your average is that what is needed is over that.  If you still above 58 then you'll get confirmation below you wont, better keep your average up :))

Well I am truly a little confused

I had an average of 58. something when that update was carried out. I know I had more than 500 rounds as a TL as my average could only go down and would never go up, even with a terrible round

Anyhow, my 1st game after the update was in a CC tourney where the conditions were set up with high winds, champ greens and on Merion I think. I had a relatively bad round and shot a 62 and my average dropped down to something like 61.78

Since then any rounds I have played my average goes down anywhere from 0.04 to 0.01 or stays the same if I shoot a say 62

I am now at 58.93 so, after reading all of this forum post, would I be correct in assuming a promotion to Champion will arrive when I have 200 ranked rounds played?

    Thanks for any help

    Oshi

I was on 57.6 or thereabouts as a tour legend and saturated by virtue of playing at least 500 RR as a tour legend, then the new tiers arrived. As Alosso says I was bumped up 59.81 as 200 games were `deleted` and my best 300 rr games were the ones counted.

So...I needed to play those extra 200 RR to again get saturated. After 212 more games I was at 57.97 but did not make Champion. I then remembered that I had played about 15 games at the par 5`s and par 3`s which did not count. So needed another 15 games to play.

I did get there (to Champion) after an extra 216 games at an average of 57.98 so it does seem that 58.00 or better is the mark to get you to Champion tier.

Of course my average was then reset as a Champion and it is still going up and down and I have played about 145 RR as a Champion. I am hoping that 200 games as a Champion will then reach saturation.

    Listy

You have to get your average down to 58.00 not 59.00 . When the adjustment was made for the new tiers my average went from 62.12 up to 62.91 .  I have been playing it down ever since .I have been tracking my progress and currently am at 58.40 with 117 rounds played .

Once I find the tipping point I`ll let players know or at least have a better idea as to what it takes for the tier up . I will say that saturation does come quickly though after your average flips . My saturation came within 25 rounds played . Hopefully this will be over by next week  I`ll keep you posted .

No, 59. You have not got your 200 rounds in yet, Lonnie. Once you do, your average (assuming you keep it below 59), will automatically put you in the Champ tier.

Hope that you are right . If so then the average still going down is only a plus . I`m saturated so for now going back up is no problem . Just have to keep hammering at it to see .

@ John if your average is no longer going up then you have saturated . Once the new tiers were added then the 500 rounds for T/L`s was changed . The only way you can go is down . Good luck to all :-)

I highlighted your line about saturation above. For those of us, who were already saturated under the previous system, the saturation came after the 1st round we played after the update. It got higher, because the best 300 out of 500 rounds were erased, but then only went down. i tested that by posting a ridiculously high score in my 2nd round after the update.

And Mags and Alan (Dodgy) are correct (of course, what else ;-)). It happens at 59. I can vouch for that since this morning ;-)

The raise was caused by the deletion of your best 300 RRs, 200 left in the mix.

In other words: As a TL, the worst 200 ranked rounds were the ones used to calculate your new scoring average after the Champion tier was created,
